Please pray for those (including myself) who worry unnecessarily and lack faith that God has a plan for our lives and provides for our every need.

I pray that the Holy Ghost will enlighten your faith and allow you to realize that God loves everyone. Remember God is Love. :grouphug::heaven:

Peace & all good

So many worries. Acts of faith (I repeat them so often it’s practically incessant) are very powerful in these moments. Acknowledging your worry, but lovingly offering your worry and an act of faith to Our Lord is a powerful prayer. Offer these little sacrifices of trust for someone’s conversion, or in reparation for particular sins (yours or someone else’s). It’s all about practice and repetition.

Retrieved from the Catholic blog “the Curt Jester” (check out this blog entry for a worry-reducing, light-hearted look at acts of faith):
St. Thérèse says that, “although I had not the consolation of faith, I forced myself to act as if I had. I have made more acts of faith in the last year than in the whole of my life”
Jesus, I trust in You.
Jesus, I trust in You.
Jesus, I trust in You.

Eternal Father, I offer You the body, blood, soul, and divinity of Your dearly beloved Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, in atonement for our sins, and those of the whole world.

Hail Mary, full of grace,
the Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God,
pray for sinners,
now and at the hour of our death.
Amen

Catherine, try to remember that one of Padre Pio’s main instruction was: “Pray, and DO NOT WORRY”.

My prayers are with you. Joseph.

Father please help her to not worry…and help her to feel your presence in her life and that she may continue to grow in her faith and always know you will never abandon her.

I thank you for all of your mercy.

Amen

Lord, I pray that we all will trust in you when our lives get filled with darkness and doubt. May we repeat the prayer “Jesus, I trust in you” when we begin to fear the darkness and worry about your not being there for us. Amen.

PRAYER TO BE ONE WITH GOD.
We long for You, Oh Spirit of Light,
we long to know God,
we want to be one with Him,
our Divine God.
We want to be one with the Father,
know Him as a Person most intimately.
We want to know the beloved One,
the Sacred Heart of Jesus,
and live and dwell in Him at all times,
every moment of our lives.
We want to be one with You,
Oh Spirit of Light,
that You move in our every breath.
Amen.

PRAYER TO BE CONFORMED
TO THE DIVINE WILL
Most holy Trinity,
Godhead indivisible,
Father, Son, and Holy Spirit,
Our first beginning and our last end,
You have made us
In accord with your own image and likeness.
Grant that all the thoughts of our minds,
All the words of our tongues,
All the affections of our hearts,
And all the actions of our being
May always be conformed to your holy Will.
Thus, after we have seen here below in apperances
And in a dark manner by means of faith,
We may come at last to contemplate you face-toface
In the perfect possession of you
Forever in heaven.
Amen.

PRAYER FOR TRUST
O Christ Jesus,
when all is darkness
and we feel our weakness and helplessness,
give us the sense of Your presence,
Your love, and Your strength.
Help us to have perfect trust
in Your protecting love
and strengthening power,
so that nothing may frighten or worry us,
for, living close to You,
we shall see Your hand,
Your purpose, Your will through all things.

(By St. Ignatius of Loyola, 1491-1556)

Catherine,

I am confident that God would not want you to be worrying so much. Be assured of His love for you.

I found a quote few years back that has helped me. Perhpas it will help you. " Worry never robs tomorrow of it’s sorows, it only saps today of it’s joy." ~ Leo Buscaglia

Praying that you will find joy and peace,
Kathleen

'Who will give me wings, as of a dove, that I may fly, and find rest?
Till then let my soul be fledged, Lord Jesus, let it grow wings, I pray
You, in the nest of Your chastening: let it rest in the cleft of Your
rock, in the cavern of Your wounds. Let it embrace You, the crucified
one: let it take from You the draught of Your precious blood. While
I wait, let this sweet meditation fill my memory, lest forgetfulness
darken it for me: while I wait, let me look upon myself as knowing
nothing, except my Lord, and Him crucified, lest my empty error
seduce my knowledge from the firm foundation of the Faith, let the
delight of all my love be in You, lest I be taken up by any worldly
desire."

Saint Aelred of Rievaulx
( 1109 - 1167 )***

A Novena Prayer to the Sacred Heart of Jesus
Sacred Heart of Jesus, we know that there is but one thing impossible to You: to be without pity for those who are in suffering or distress. Look down on us, we beg of You and grant us the grace which we humbly and earnestly implore, through the Immaculate Heart of Your most sorrowful Mother to whom You confided us as her children, and whose prayers are all powerful with You. Amen.

Catherine,

I suspect, because I’m guessing that you’ve been praying a long time about this, and because answers have been either slow in coming or the particular one(s) you’ve been hoping for haven’t materialized. I have experienced this too. Remember Jesus’ rhetorical question, “Can you add one hour to your span of life by worrying?”. Remember his advice, “Seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things (whatever you need) will be added unto you.” Make God, his Church, your relationship with him, and loving all people as he has loved us your priorities and you will have no problems - Jesus promised! To doubt that is to make him a liar and I know you don’t think that of our Lord.

Also there are a couple of good passages from Thomas-a-Kempis’ “Imitation of Chirst” that are particularly good here.

Book 2, chapter 2 - “Be silent and endure for a while and you will experience the help of God in your need. No doubt about it, for God knows when and how to deliver you. So put yourself in his care. It is up to God to help and to deliver from all dilemma.”

Book 3, chapter 30 - Do not think you have been completely abandoned because I have sent you some grief, or if I withdraw from you the consolation you longed for; know that this is the way to the kingdom of heaven. No doubt, it is better for you and for the rest of My servants to be tested by adversity than always to have things go your own way. I know your most hidden thoughts and that it is necessary for your salvation that sometimes you be deprived of spiritual consolation, lest you become to elated with success and, through pride, imagine yourself to be what you really are not. What I have given, I may take away and may restore it again when I please."

In the second quotation, we are told that sometimes we “need” to go without something(s) and so in truth because of this, God fulfills that “need” too.

Heavenly Father, you sent your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord to save us all and to make our joy in you complete. Grant Catherine the grace to know that indeed your grace is sufficient in the midst of our weakness and need, and that whatever she or any of us needs, as long as it is what we need, and not what we want that we ask for, you will grant willingly and speedily, including fulfilling our need to need you, by temporarily depriving us of something that helps us see our need for you. I ask this and all that Catherine is in need of with the intercession of Mother Mary and all the angels and saints, through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Please pray for those (including myself) who worry unnecessarily and lack faith that God has a plan for our lives and provides for our every need.
I too am a worrier and will pray for you and hope you will pray for me. St. Padre Pio has some very good advice about worry, I hope you will read some of his writings.

Thank you all so much for your beautiful prayers. Please know that you are all in my prayers too.
Catherine

Still praying for you and all those suffering from worry.

Hail Mary, full of grace,
the Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God,
pray for us sinners,
now and at the hour of our death.
Amen

"Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you shall eat or what you shall drink, nor about your body, what you shall put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing?

Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?
And which of you by being anxious can add one cubit to his span of life?
And why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they neither toil nor spin;
yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is alive and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will he not much more clothe you, O men of little faith?
Therefore do not be anxious, saying, What shall we eat?' or What shall we drink?’ or `What shall we wear?’
For the Gentiles seek all these things; and your heavenly Father knows that you need them all.
But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things shall be yours as well.
Matthew 6:26-33
