There are so many alternatives to relieving someone’s suffering other than killing them!!!

I can’t even tell you how many girls I know that don’t want to get pregnant at all because they fear the pain. NOBODY EVER TOLD THEM ABOUT EPIDURALS!!! I had one and it was A GOD SEND.

My husband’s grandmother died recently, and she was allowed to die naturally and with dignity, but also with a lot of painkillers, and it was FINE, thank you very much.

Our technology has advanced to the point where dying need not be so painful, and instead of advancing this technology even further, people just want to kill. KILL KILL KILL, THAT’S THE ANSWER TO EVERYTHING, ISN’T IT!!
Overpopulated? KILL!
Depressed? KILL!
Unborn? KILL!
Old? Kill!
Handicapped? KILL!
What’s next???

I would also like to mention that the article was extremely biased and WRONG. It reported that Norway was the first country to legalize euthenasia!!

LIARS!!!

IT WAS NAZI GERMANY, LOOK IT UP PEOPLE!!!

Murderers! The Dutch rank right up there with the Nazi’s of WWII in their inhumanity. I am afraid that America is not far behind in the top ten most inhumane countries, also.
I agree that euthanizing is very wrong as is abortion, because both is murder. I’m fairly sure that not all the citizens of Holland agree with this practise. I guess that many Dutch also thinks of euthanatia as very wrong and totally disgusting.

To put all the citizens and residents of one nation, race or creed in one basket and call them Nazis is very close to what we call stereotyping.

Some doctors perform abortions that doesn’t imply that all doctors are abortionists.

I have to admit that I were surprised by that statement, because I know that Norway have never legalized euthanasia and I pray never will. I should know this since I’m a Norwegian citizen, born, raised and lived there until two years ago when I came to Canada.

I had to read the article again and again and couldn’t find any reference to Norway.

This is a quote from the article:
A hospital in the Netherlands — the first nation to permit euthanasia —
There must have been a mixup with Norway and Netherlands (Holland). If you still are sure that the article said Norway, please show me with a quote.

Dies irae, dies illa
solvet saeclum in favilla,
teste David cum Sybilla.

Quantus tremor est futurus,
quando judex est venturus,
cuncta stricte discussurus.

Tuba mirum spargens sonum
per sepulchra regionum,
coget omnes ante thronum.

Mors stupebit et natura,
cum resurget creatura,
judicanti responsura.

Liber scriptus proferetur,
in quo totum continetur,
unde mundus judicetur.

Judex ergo cum sedebit,
quidquid latet apparebit,
nil inultum remanebit.

Quid sum miser tunc dicturus?
Quem patronum rogaturus,
cum vix justus sit securus?

Rex tremendae majestatis,
qui salvandos salvas gratis,
salva me, fons pietatis.

Recordare Jesu pie,
quod sum causa tuae viae,
ne me perdas illa die.

Quaerens me sedisti lassus,
redemisti crucem passus,
tantus labor non sit cassus.

Juste judex ultionis,
donum fac remissionis
ante diem rationis.

Ingemisco tanquam reus,
culpa rubet vultus meus,
supplicanti parce, Deus.

Qui Mariam absolvisti,
et latronem exaudisti,
mihi quoque spem dedisti.

Preces meae non sunt dignae,
sed tu, bonus, fac benigne,
ne perenni cremer igne.

Inter oves locum praesta,
et ab hoedis me sequestra,
statuens in parte dextra.

Confutatis maledictis,
flammis acribus addictis,
voca me cum benedictis.

Oro supplex et acclinis,
cor contritum quasi cinis,
gere curam mei finis.

Lacrimosa dies illa,
qua resurget ex favilla

judicandus homo reus -
Huic ergo parce, Deus.

Pie Jesu Domine,
dona eis requiem.

Amen.

The day of wrath, that day
which will reduce the world to ashes,
as foretold by David and the Sybil.

What terror there will be,
when the Lord will come
to judge all rigorously!

The trumpet, scattering a wondrous sound
among the graves of all the lands,
will assemble all before the Throne.

Death and Nature will be astounded
when they see a creature rise again
to answer to the Judge.

The book will be brought forth
in which all deeds are noted,
for which humanity will answer.

When the judge will be seated,
all that is hidden will appear,
and nothing will go unpunished.

Alas, what will I then say?
To what advocate shall I appeal,
when even the just tremble?

O king of redoutable majesty,
who freely saves the elect,
save me, o fount of piety!

Remember, merciful Jesus,
that I am the cause of your journey,
do not lose me on that day.

You wearied yourself in finding me.
You have redeemed me through the cross.
Let not such great efforts be in vain.

O judge of vengeance, justly
make a gift of your forgiveness
before the day of reckoning.

I lament like a guilty one.
My faults cause me to blush,
I beg you, spare me.

You who have absolved Mary (Magdalene),
and have heard the thief’s prayer,
have also given me hope.

My prayers are not worthy,
but you, o Good One, please grant freely
that I do not burn in the eternal fire.

Give me a place among the sheep,
separate me from the goats
by placing me at your right.

Having destroyed the accursed,
condemned them to the fierce flames,
Count me among the blessed.

I prostrate myself, supplicating,
my heart in ashes, repentant;
take good care of my last moment!

That tearful day,
when from the ashes shall rise again

sinful man to be judged.
Therefore pardon him, o God.

Merciful Lord Jesus,
give them rest.

Amen.

There is no slippery slope leading from abortion to child euthanasia. It is the logical outcome of support for abortion, as the Princeton professor Peter Singer has argued (at one time he supported infanticide through the first month after birth. I do not know his present position)

There is no substantial difference between the murder of a child before birth and after birth. The only difference is that the unborn child is a little less developed and is less readily visible.
The most recent interview with him,he has said that he believes you can kill an infant up to a year old although"the sooner the better"he also contends it would not be morally wrong to breed babies for body parts.Lovely, huh:eek: God protect us from mad men:amen:

Um, not really. How about China? Abortion is legal in most countries, isn’t it? I don’t see how the U.S. is any worse than most. In fact, the U.S. is better than most, I’d say. We don’t have forced abortions. We don’t have slavery (yes, it does still exist in the world). Women and minorities are equally protected under the law. You need to stop doomsaying our wonderful country, and look forward with hope for the remaking of the Supreme Court. Pray for the overturn of Roe v. Wade. The slippery slope is NOT inevitable.

The thread didn’t go through for me. Is this about the Dutch? I read somewhere else that they were now euthanizing babies? Is that what this is about. I have ceased to be amazed at the Netherlands. Now I’m just sickened.
