We (both in the Liturgy and most of our Spirtual lifes) think about and give worship to Jesus more then the Father or Spirit, is this wrong, does the Son detract from the Father?

Is this true? I don’t see it. The most important liturgical celebration is the Mass and the Eucharistic Prayer at every Mass is addressed to the Father, as well as the Our Father Prayer. If I remember correctly, most of the intercessions and closing prayers of the Liturgy of the Hours are addressed to the Father. The Rosary includes more Our Father Prayers than prayers to Jesus, even if you include the Fatima O My Jesus Prayers at the end of each decade. Apart from the introductory and concluding prayers, the main prayers of the Divine Mercy Chaplet are all addressed to the Eternal Father.

Even if what you say were true, I’m sure the Father understands and is not jealous that men might prefer to worship the Son because the Son, being both God and man, is more relatable to them.

Jesus is God. The Father is God. The Holy Spirit is God.
Worship of any one is worship of all.

No, giving worship to one member of the Blessed Trinity absolutely does not detract from the others. When one is glorified, the others are glorified.

Fr. Mike Schmitz has a good video on this very subject:

It’s the second question addressed in the video.

The Son does not detract from the father and nor does the Holy Spirit. Jesus, the Father and the Holy Spirit is God, worshiping any one of them is worshiping God.

Who’s this “We” you speak of? Catholics don’t typically do this.
The Mass gives worship to all three persons of the Trinity, not just exclusively Jesus.
Charismatics and those with a special devotion to the Holy Spirit think about and give worship more to the Holy Spirit.

We just had a thread asking why some Protestants only focus on Jesus. If this is seen as a Protestant thing, then Catholics certainly don’t see themselves as acting that way.

From The Divine Liturgy of St. John Chrysostom

It is proper and just
To worship the Father and the Son
And the Holy Spirit
The Trinity one in substance and undivided

From one of my favorite hymns:

Holy, holy, holy
Lord, God Almighty!
Early in the morning our song shall rise to Thee
Holy, holy, holy
Merciful and mighty
God in three persons blessed Trinity!
