Wizard of Oz Love the movie but laugh at this line every time…

Dorothy slams the wicked witch of the west with the water and she is melting, melting, and then, bubbling under her hat and the guard says in a very monotone voice.

“She’s dead you killed her”. hahahahaha 😃

“I don’t know you anymore. Anakin, you’re breaking my heart.”

-Star Wars Episode III

I wanted to scream at my TV.

(Surprised no one had mentioned it yet!)
The Empire Strikes Back

“I love you!”
“I know…”

:banghead:

Worst line ever, in my opinion. Oooo, but, not funny!🤷

Hmmm…I can’t think of anything. But the general rule about these lines is that they were said in all seriousness.

"A BALL POINT BANANA!!!"

Robin, from that Batman movie with Adam West.

I like A SPARROW WITH A MACHINE GUN! better myself…

Another one from the Empire Strikes Back-

Han is getting ready to leave Hoth right before the Empire attacks. He tells the Rebel leader (I forget his name) that he’s got to leave-

Han Solo: I have to leave now General. Jabba the Hutt has put a price on my head and if I don’t pay him back I’m a dead man.

General: A death mark is not an easy thing to live with.

:bluelite:

Yeah, I think I have just tried to block out I, II, and III. Not that the other ones didn’t have their bad moments…but I, II, and III were just unbearable (imho).
You mean like this one from Attack of the Clones:

“I’m not afraid to die. I’ve been dying a little bit each day since you came back into my life.”

Followed moments later by:

“I truly… deeply… love you and before we die I want you to know.”

The delivery is classic. I had a hard time just typing them out without cracking up.

Actually, just about any scene with Anakin and Padme would win the prize.

I feel like we need an entirely seperate thread for *George Lucas’s *worst movie lines.😛

That isn’t as bad as every line uttered by Jar-Jar Binks! particularly bad: “Yousa Jedi?! Moxie big da Force.”

There was a thread about the most memorable movie lines. This is about those lines which are so awful that they’re unintentionally funny. I remember one right now. Years ago I saw a TV special about movies of the past, and they gave an example of really bad dialogue.
In the scene from an old black & white film, a guy gazes lovingly at a very blonde woman and says, “Your hair is like a field of daisies in the moonlight. I want to run barefoot through your hair.”

Can anyone else give an example?
That critical line from near the end of Star Wars Episode III. It’s when Obi Wan and Anakin have just finished fighting on Mustafar.

Obi Wan shouts to Anakin the poignant line, “Anakin, Chancellor Palpatine is evil!”

Anakin then responds with the cheesy line “From the Jedi point of view! From my point of view, the Jedi are evil!”

🤷

Really diminished the feel of that scene. Otherwise the dialog was going fairly well.

I think the award has to go with ‘I’ve got a bad feeling about this’ - it gains mega points for repetition.

Hehe - you’ve got to see ‘Greatest Story Ever Told’.

Picture it - the movie reaches the iconic classic scene of Jesus’ death on the cross, great performances from everyone, especially Max von Sydow as Jesus. The skies darken, the earth quakes … and there goes Duke’s unmistakable drawl, ‘Trooly this was the son o’ Gahd!’

I don’t care how many times I live to see that movie, it will be guaranteed to crack me up every single time, and gets my vote as probably the worst-delivered line I’ve ever heard.
Ha!:rotfl: That reminds me of Tony Curtis character in Spartacus. I can’t remember any specific lines, but to hear Tony Curtis speak in his Jewish/New York accent in that movie cracked me up!

He appeared in a film called “The Black Shield of Falworth” and they’ve always made fun of him saying “Yondah lies the castle of my fadduh.” (I don’t know if he ever spoke that line, however.)

:rotfl: That’s hilarious!

Well, since the worst movie I remember ever seeing was the Fifth Element (which isn’t about boron, strangely:nerd: ), and I just remember a few lines from it, I nominate “Me fifth element. Me supreme being. Me protect you.”
The Fifth Element starring Bruce Willis. That movie was so bad it was good.😛

Demi Moore (sp?) playing the defence lawer in in “A few good men” responding to why she is sympathetic to those accused of murdering a fellow solider (whom they are defending)

Demi (to other lawyer): Why do you hate them so much?

**Other lawyer ****They were bullies, they picked on a weaker kid… why do you like them so much?

Demi Moore: Because they stand on a wall…

??!?!?!?!?!?!

Outbreak. Donald Sutherland utters, “What are you doing? Are you dumb or something?”

Sean Connery in Goldfinger: “At least they won’t be using heroin-flavoured bananas to finance revolutions.”

Hmm, how many movies has this “line” been in?

Lord of the Rings
Star Wars, Episode 4
and I know I’ve heard it at least 5 other times!

“No-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o!”

Oh, and every line spoken by what’s-her-name in “Red Sonja.”

Speaking of miscasting, has anyone but me seen “The Oklahoma Kid,” a western with (I kid you not) Humphrey Bogart as the villain, and Jimmy Cagney as the hero! Cagney in furry chaps has to be seen to be believed.

And then there’s the Will Scarlett from Brooklyn in Kevin Costner’s “Robin Hood, Men in Ewok Houses.”

Full of jolly sarcasm,

Ruthie

How about from the first Spider-Man

Peter: You don’t trust anyone, do you?
Jameson: I turst my barber.

“That’s some bad hat, Harry” from Jaws. Now that line’s being used by the production company of “House”
