My father-in-law was tattooed when he was a young man–he got his Social Security number tattooed on his arm so that in case he was ever killed, they would know who he was.

Seriously!

My older daughter has three tattoos but she works in the entertainment industry. She’s designed all her own tattoos.

How was Adam’s falsetto?

I do like the idea about the soloists and choir, but I don’t know many pieces that have solos in them that a school choir would use.

There are lots of great pieces for all age choir, and many include solos. I accompanied a school choir holiday concert (secular school), and they did a great piece from The Greatest Showman that featured a long solo for a female–I loved it!

A lot of really good choral music is being written, and good school choirs sound better than ever.

That would, at worst, a sin of vanity. Not the sin of effeminacy. The sin of effeminacy is yielding during trial, yielding to a challenge and failing to pursuing good.

That being said most of the people who tatooed themselves didn’t do it to be noticed. Especially since their tatoos are usually obscured by clothes.

If I were you I wouldn’t be so eager to rush out and judge people. Say a rosary instead, and keep to yourself. It would be better for your soul.

Super Bowl LIII was the worst ever.
Very dull.
I know nothing of Super Bowl , so I’m not qualified to give an opinion .

Just take your pick and blame the Liberals , the Conservatives , the Traditionalists , the Progressives , the Trumpites , the Clintonites , or any other scapegoat you come across .

Everybody else seems to do .

You forgot feminists, the favorite whipping girl of this forum.

I blame Putin and the NFL refs who did not call the pass interference call in the Saints-Rams game.
The Saints would have made the Super Bowl more heavenly! 🙏

Many Superbowls, especially the early ones, were very lopsided games, one team outscored the other by a lot. Therefore, with a game this close, I can not say it was a poor superbowl and if one only watched the 4th quarter, I personally, think it was pretty good. The first half was a sleeper in my opinion.

I admit, I had to tune in to watch Tom Brady hoist the Lombardi at the Falcon’s house.
That was pure schadenfreude, though, so probably more Purgatory for me for that.
(Tack that on to how much I enjoyed the homemade birthday card my kids made me, the one with the scoreboard showing 28-3 and 2:12 left in the 3rd. It is still on my refrigerator.)

It was a close game, which I think championship games should be.

did anyone see the trophy ceremony? how scary was that “procession” where the players were trying to touch and kiss the lombardi trophy?

I mean… If I had worked as hard as those guys had, and the Lombardi trophy was symbolic of the result of that hard work… I woul kiss it ttoo… I don’t think any player was worshiping it or offering it undue respect

There’s a lot of talk about how it was ‘social justice’… what exactly was social justice about it?
