Would anyone be interested in a CAF Minecraft server?

Not sure if this is breaking forum rules, so forgive me if that is the case

I’ve been wanting to start a Minecraft server for wile. I’d be willing to rent a server or host one from home if enough people wanted to join. It would be vanilla PvE and whitelisted of course. I can’t do a lot of admin stuff with work and everything, so I’m looking for mature players or families. Please let me know if you’re interested

My children play Minecraft, but I don’t know anything about Minecraft.

What is a Minecraft server?
 
I just started last week looking at Minecraft, so I may be interested, but do not know enough yet.

A Minecraft server would be a server which hosts a certain Minecraft “seed” (randomly generated map) on which anyone who connects to that server can play. Something like that. 😃

I have spent over 20 years working in technology and now specialize in information security. I do my best to keep my children safe and educated on the pitfalls of the net, but discovered a whole new issue with online gaming. My children took to Minecraft last year and so did I … whatever interest them, interest me from a parent perspective. I discovered the countless online servers and quickly spun up one for my kids and their friends. This gave me the chance to moderate the server and maintain a safe/clean environment. I know my kids will venture down the less clean path at some point, but not until a later date when they are older and have a better understanding of the pitfalls:).

I ran the Minecraft server from my house on a old PC which was fine for 4-6 players, but anymore and we would most likely need to increase the memory, processing power, bandwidth, etc.
