Would converting to an Eastern Catholic Church be wrong?

What is the process of “transferrig” from Roman Catholic to Eastern Catholic? And what are the consequences if any?
 
Hi,

It’s not a matter of converting. The faith is the same. It’s a matter of changing rites. There’s nothing wrong with doing so if this is what you want to do. It’s a bit of a hassle and really isn’t necessary. You can join and Eastern Rite parish without changing rites. However, if you still want to change rites, check with the pastor of the Eastern Rite parish you wish to join.
