Would flowers be an ok gift for a guy's Confirmation?

i am going to a confirmation and i’m wondering if flowers are appropriate for a gift for a guy. and if so what color?
 
Hi,

Red would be the color. It represents the Holy Spirit. I’m not so sure about giving flowers to a guy. Some are alright with it. But some may not be. Have a Mass offered for his intentions. It’s a better gift and it’s safer too.
