Would Hillary dare to clarify recent statement?

Recently, Hillary Clinton made some statement about abortion being a “tragic choice.” Some have interpreted this statement as an attempt to appear less liberal and capture more middle-of-the-road voters when she inevitably runs for President in 2008.
But the inconsistency of her statement is absurd - what does Hillary’s characterization of the choice to abort as “tragic” mean? Is Hillary admitting that aortion unjustly takes a human life. If so, then why is it legal?
After all, I think the kidnapping, molestation and killing of Jessica Lunsberg (poor child - may she be with God in heaven) was “tragic” and none of those acts are legal.

Hillary believes herself, that it is tragic, but does not suggest that, aside of her own opinion, that it is a universal truth that all abortion is tragic.

That’s about right. Right??

She likely would say that she cannot impose her morality on other people.

She would say anything if she thought it would keep her in office or on the plus side of public opinion polls. Did I say that? Guess so!

Mario Cuomo comes to mind. As governor of NY he blocked every attempt to execute murderers, citing his personal belief that it was wrong. Yet when it came to abortion he would say he opposed it, but couldn’t let his personal beliefs interfere. Talk about having your cake and eating it too…

That is the purpose of a vote, to get your morality passed and opposed on others. Why is a minimum wage allowed, but not making abortion illegal? Really a minimum wage is forced upon big businessmen, why is that allowed?

(I have no problem with minimum wage, so don’t jump on me.)

It’s just the Dems gearing up for 2008 trying to recapture some of the red states. They’ll say anything for votes.
