Do you mean the actual person? He or she would be treated the same as any other human with regards to the morality of murder. The death of such a person is in the hands of God, who alone has the authority to judge the worthiness of a person’s life.

Opinion only respectfully toward to the question…Would it be a sin to kill the antichrist?
…Written there are many antichrist not just one…anti… means someone who does not believe in the anointed one…Christ right?

Many antichrist among us…come out of us…as in John and written>>
John 2:18…tells us this does it not?

And The Ten Commandments…Thou shall not …?? Nor did Christ teach such either to do so, he be breaking the Ten Commandments right?
Peace… 🙂❤️

Then what about the Book of Revelations…prophecies foretold yet to come? John 17-18?
The Harlot…who?
The beasts…who?
The dragon who?
Mystery Babylon who?
4 Horses represent what?
Not singular only as a whole, but singular all joining with?
❤️ Lots of questions …many anitichrist was written right?

With all due respect, the question cannot be answered apart from its context, as it is directly related to the nature of the being–for instance, you cannot murder something that isn’t human, after all. Please humor me and read the details before assuming I am saying the antichrist would definitely be a bona fide human.

Please reread the details–the question is directly tied to if the antichrist is a true, 100% human, or is of some other nature.

If the antichrist was a demon would it be a sin to murder it? Perhaps murder isn’t possible if it’s not a human but would violence be okay?

I am honestly not sure how you would tie the Rwandan Genocide to the antichrist. As for the finger-pointing you speak of, the specific identity of the antichrist is not what I am focusing on here.

That’s quite intriguing–so would you say that because the antichrist isn’t physical, he would certainly have to possess a human, and so the possessed human would be called the antichrist? Something different? Also, what evidence led you to your view?

In Immaculée Ilibagiza‘s book Left To Tell, she speaks of the murderous people targeting her and other Tutsis appeared to her as crazed possessed demons. Perhaps the antichrist is rather being possessed by pure evil which might of been the case in the Rwandan Genocide?

So would you say that the antichrist would be the demon or the unfortunate (or did they invite it??) person who became the demon’s vessel?

That’s tough to say because then it’s a question of, when someone is possessed and in need of exorcism, is it the possessed person or the demon who is the evil, or in this case the antichrist.

I would say it is the demon but I don’t know, maybe there will be a singular human who is the antichrist but I tend to think that person would be possessed in order to be that evil.

Another way to look at this, if the antichrist is human, that means it is someone created in the image and likeness of God and therefore has the opportunity to enter Heaven and has free will.

Do you believe the antichrist could enter Heaven? Could the antichrist ask for forgiveness or go to confession if it is a Catholic? If you think it is impossible for them to seek forgiveness or be forgiven, then they aren’t a human but rather pure demon.

Otherwise if the antichrist was human but for all time was to become the antichrist, then this speaks of predestination and is a violation of free will.

So it seems to me the antichrist is a human who chooses to do evil and is probably possessed. Such as someone like Hitler for example. Hitler did however kill himself and the point was made earlier that the antichrist couldn’t die by ordinary means. I don’t think we will ever know truly, it is just speculation which leads to finger pointing.

The question is not worth asking within my POV, because the issue is spiritual, rather than physical. The individual human invited it by rejecting God, and sinning to the point of being wholly taken over by evil. But, yet there is hope, so therefore there is no justification for murder, unless there are no other options to stop the evil. Remembering that there is altogether likely to be someone to step into his (her) place.

Everything exists by the will of God.

Whether the Antichrist is human or demon, his existence depends on God. Eliminating him violates the dignity he has as God’s creature. That applies whether it is murdering a human or dissipating a spirit. (what is like murder for a spirit?)

The better approach would be to rehabilitate, to bring the Antichrist to faith in Christ, but that sounds impractical.

For those that have a timeline outline view of revelation and prophecy with specific details that you want to fill in in chronological order. Stop. You are not going to recognize eschatology in real time just like people did not recognize it when Jesus was here and went to his death on the cross. Specifically because of this narrow minded detail oriented rapture theology that has very little scriptural support even if you consent to such exegesis.

The first thing is to study what the Church teaches about the end of the world. We converts often come with a lifetime of “dispensationalism” and other “isms” about the end of time that are not Catholic teaching.

I’d suggest some books.

I think it would be more beneficial and according to Christs will that we convert the antichrist instead of killing him. Maybe that would destroy evil in the world.

No no–I was asking if it is murder at all. As I said, it’s more a question of his nature–if he is 100% human, possessed or not, then it is murder.
Okay, different question. He is or will be human.
Why can’t the antichrist die as people have said?
(A) Because the Evil One will keep him alive.
(B) Because prophesy will be fulfilled.
Won’t this person grow old and die like anyone else?
I suppose he would if he had the time. Again, prophesy. He will die at the appointed time.

First, high level church teaching, bold mine:

CCC
http://www.scborromeo.org/ccc/p1s2c2a7.htm#675
675 Before Christ’s second coming the Church must pass through a final trial that will shake the faith of many believers. The persecution that accompanies her pilgrimage on earth will unveil the “mystery of iniquity” in the form of a religious deception offering men an apparent solution to their problems at the price of apostasy from the truth*. The supreme religious deception is that of the Antichrist, a pseudo-messianism by which man glorifies himself in place of God and of his Messiah come in the flesh.***

676 The Antichrist’s deception already begins to take shape in the world every time the claim is made to realize within history that messianic hope which can only be realized beyond history through the eschatological judgment. The Church has rejected even modified forms of this falsification of the kingdom to come under the name of millenarianism, especially the “intrinsically perverse” political form of a secular messianism.

677 The Church will enter the glory of the kingdom only through this final Passover, when she will follow her Lord in his death and Resurrection. The kingdom will be fulfilled, then, not by a historic triumph of the Church through a progressive ascendancy, but only by God’s victory over the final unleashing of evil, which will cause his Bride to come down from heaven. God’s triumph over the revolt of evil will take the form of the Last Judgment after the final cosmic upheaval of this passing world.

As someone who grew up on rapture and antichrist and mark of the beast and moon turning to blood, it was so hard to “unlearn” all of the errors I’d been taught.

One non-pseudo-human beast man is simply not the teaching of Holy Mother Church.

So, we see many antichrists in this world, movements where humans have tried to become the messiah. It would be murder for us to murder any of them. The death penalty, even for those who try to become the messiah, is not part of our Church teaching.

Thank you kindly but the question is Would it be sin to kill the antichrist?
Rather then question leads to confusion maybe?
What? or whom?
Or what defines what an antichrist is?
Or whom or what …do you think classify as being antichrist?
Human physical being or an?
If this were the case, that would certainly muddy whether or not he was human or not (and therefore make this a rather interesting question). I apologize if this question comes off weird;
Sorry using the words would it be a sin? To kill the antichrist is what got me so confused…

Jesus describes it as being those who do not believe in him maybe why it would be a sin rejecting and not believing in Him as his Word as truth… or obeying and living by his Commandments?
I ask in this way because I am curious what the theology on the nature of this evil being is; being a fairly recent convert from Protestantism, I spent my formative years being taught that the antichrist is the literal son of satan.
Satan …is called and as written known as the…father of lies… has children then?
Jesus himself accuses others when walking the earth…calling them, telling them they are the children of their …father of lies…right?

Our heavenly Father is the… Father of Truth…when called upon in prayer… Our Father…we are his children those who believe in Him and His Living Church and His Word right?

So confused in what one is asking and what one defines the antichrist to be., maybe?..sorry

On the nature of this evil being…has existed since the beginning of time who seeks to be greater then God have his own Kingdom etc?

Jesus describes one who is a liar? Sets out to destroy hearts souls and minds of others? One who sets out to destroy all the goodness he has created? One who is Heartless? Malice toward others? Greedy? One who frauds another of their freedom, wage, etc, those who steal? Worship of self, etc their own egos, vanity pride, boasting??
All written in Romans a long list naming and defines maybe what you are looking for?

There are many antichrist as written and found withing the teaching of Jesus…not just one…
Satan is… The Antichrist…Satan the father of many antichrists?
Then there are …a antichrists…Jesus told us there were many already when he walked the earth did he not?

Seek out a RCC Priest, who can give you some books written by their great theologians on this topic maybe? Peace:heart:🙂
