Would it be considered out of line to kneel to recieve the Eucharist?

I recently converted to the faith and only one thing still bothers me. During the eucharist no one kneels (at least at my parish), I feel that this is the time that we are physically closest to our Lord the King of Kings and kneeling would be apropriate here.Would it be considered out of line to kneel to recieve the eucharist although it is obviously not the norm at this parish?
