Would space aliens need redemption

Aren’t you confusing innocence and virtue?

I would say that innocent people start out naive (everyone does, actually, even us fallen folks), but they won’t stay innocent long if they also stay naive. But one could also argue that by definition innocence does not last, but gives way either to virtue or guilt.

On the other hand, we don’t know what an unfallen race who resisted temptation would be like (well, according to Christian tradition that’s what the angels did, but our knowledge of angels is fairly limited). Maybe they would in some way still be “innocent” but not naive.

This is exactly what I am thinking. They would wrestle with temptation as Jesus did, so they would know what evil looks and feels like, but they wouldn’t give in to it, thus making them stronger than someone who gives in to evil. We know that Jesus was tempted, but, being God, could He have fallen? I am thinking not, and I am thinking that our sinless aliens would also have some kind of similar protection from actually committing evil, but at the same time, they would still know what it is, and they would know how to conquer it.

Aliens? Are you talking about Jesus. He was the result of Mary being impregnated by aliens.
Jesus was an alien hybrid, therefore God is an alien.

So if redemption is needed, tnerefore the answer would be Yes.
