Hi , I am a catholic…
I am 51 and have had a annulment in the catholic church.
I have been dating a man who is Baptist… 'His first marriage was in the church of England church 35 years ago…
we would like to marry in the catholic church and he attends mass with me…
Does he need to get an annulment and how does he go about it… Thankyou.

Hi

Yes he does need to obtain an annulment if it is possible. The Catholic Church recognizes marriages between non-Catholics as valid. He needs to see a Catholic priest to see if an annulment is possible. Annulments are based on how psychologically mature the persons were at the time of the marriage and also on how free a choice they had at the time.
