Would the term "Babies Rights" be more effective than the term "Pro-Life" on placards?

I’m under Obamacare and it’s garbage. But it’s something. The Repulsivecans and the Trumpists want it gone. What are people without any type of health care suppose to do? I’m sick of the “pro-lifers” here stating how happy they were that this misogynist piece of garbage who used filthy terms to describe how he molested women will somehow “save babies.” He’s your president, not mine. I will do everything I can, even as a pro-lifer, to destroy what he attempts to do. You “pro-lifers,” you’ll never get that extra judge to overturn RvW and DvB because of how you betrayed the pro-life movement by supporting this piece of feces. Oh, did any of you look at the porno videos the First-VVhore made? You proud of that slattern? They’re all over the internet. Go take a peak. You can confess it later. I’m Atheist, pro-life and proud. Are you?
Tell us how you REALLY feel.

Yada, you need to clam down and chill. Please.

You state that an economic situation is never justifiable to kill a human being. True. But have you talked with women facing an economic crisis made worse by a pregnancy? They will all tell, you if they could afford a child, they would have it and not an abortion. But when they can’t afford it, what’s their alternative? Uh-huh, yes, “adoption.” Somehow, they still have to pay for the prenatal care and where does that come from?

Yes, yes, yes, we all can pontificate on if she plays she pays, but that’s not reality. I had a friend who spent her life being sexually abused by her father - he said if she loved him, she’d do it. He was a Trump rich guy. And then he vvhored his daughter out to business friends to make more money. Uh-huh, like Trump. You know, the guy all you “pro-life” people voted for. Yup, that Trump. Anyway, she was taught that the only way she could get her daddy’s or any man’s love was through being a vvhore. And then she got raped by a guy. She got pregnant. She was in college, at her own expense and had no money. She scraped together a few hundred bucks for an abortion. I tried to talk her out of it but told her I would always support her. She had it done. I picked her up from the abortion business and we went to a Taco Bell. She ate her meal and her stomach grumbled. With tears in her eyes, she said: “Well, something’s still alive in me.”

You need to chill, Yada. You’re the reason why the pro-life movement can’t succeed. Keep you vitriolic religious attitudes to yourself. The pro-life movement won’t succeed so long as it promotes religion. America isn’t religious - it’s secular. Just as pro-abortion religionists (like the “Religious Coalition for Reproductive Rights”) has no place in a secular America, neither does religion-based anti-abortion groups. Keep your gods to yourself.
I am sorry - you know nothing about me - nor what I have done and do to support women and children - which I do now …

You are whats wrong … you offer women only one option - murder the child … easier for you I guess - you don’t have to “do” any thing other than castigate others …

For the record - pro-Life people care about the mothers and the children before they are born, during and after they are born.

We work not only in the pro-Life movement but in helping single parents and families care for their children …

When you open your home to a single mother and child and pay for all of the costs including health care and college tuition for over 4 years … when you financially support the Father Taaffe Foundation with operates three homes for unwed mothers and their children, when you provide support for crisis pregnancy centers, provide infant clothes, diapers, cribs, car seats, etc , help unemployed fathers find work while you an many of your fellow pro-Life volunteers gather rent, grocery and utility money for the family - well when you do all those things like I have - then come back and talk to me …

Yes, adoption is a loving choice and adoptive parents, the Church and many other people and organizations will cover prenatal and delivery costs … there are resources to help people in need find an alternative to killing a child …

Perhaps You need to roll up your sleeves and get to work … I think you spend too much time “Chilling” and throwing insults at people you know nothing about based on democratic talking point

Ending the life of a child because it is inconvenient is evil … it is always evil

More than one woman has said that Trump molested her. Grabbing at a woman’s genitalia IS molesting her, even if she is afraid to retaliate or protest because of your wealth and power. A man who brags about doing that is unfit to be President.

And you shouldn’t believe him when he says he is pro-life because it has been proven that three-quarters of the words that come out of his mouth are lies. I’m listening to a report right now of his lies about the size of the crowds at his inauguration.

It’s just foolish to believe a man who is a proven liar.
“Bu-bu-but the emails!!”

“But I feel that the greatest destroyer of peace today is abortion, because Jesus said, ‘If you receive a little child, you receive Me.”
So every abortion is the denial of receiving Jesus, is the neglect of receiving Jesus.
It is really a war against the child, a direct killing of the innocent child, murder by the mother herself.” ~Mother Teresa.
It’s the saddest thing in the world to watch thousands of women march for the right to kill their own children. --Britt Hughes
I like Unborn Lives Matter, going to quote it when necessary, and Babies Rights.
Thank you.

I’m a pro-life Atheist. I’m pro-life because I believe in concrete, factual science which states that the life of a human being begins at fertilization. As an Atheist who believes that logic and rational thought determines what’s right (religion doesn’t - there are religious people who support abortion based upon their religion, just as there are religious people who oppose it), I know that abortion is wrong. I don’t deny it’s a complicated situation. When a prenatal human being lives inside the body of a postnatal human being, that’s a unique situation. It’s not all black-and-white based upon circumstances.

But let’s remain factually honest. When it comes to abortion, there are no “babies rights” as before birth their is no “baby.” There is a zygote, embryo and fetus. All are human beings just like babies, pre-pubescents, post-pubescents, adults and geriatrics. “Babies rights” begin at birth. Prenatal rights begin before birth. Don’t make it more complicated than what it is. As the Pro-Life Alliance of Gays and Lesbians (PLAGAL) states: “Human rights begin when human life begins.”
I like this post! I agree; the most persuasive argument against abortion (for me) is that the only non-arbitrary point to choose for the beginning of one’s right to life is conception. Unfortunately most people think with their emotions rather than pure logic when making decisions that require pure logic. When I was going door to door canvassing with a pro-life group, the only way to get people talking was by being all fluffy and appealing to their sentiments.

Then we need to encourage and request measures to be put in place for such situations, but whenever abortion is legal, and especially whenever planned parenthood and others profit from it, this will never happen, because it will be expected and encouraged that she choose abortion.
Yes, yes, yes, we all can pontificate on if she plays she pays, but that’s not reality. I had a friend who spent her life being sexually abused by her father - he said if she loved him, she’d do it. He was a Trump rich guy.
I was going along with you until you likened him to Trump, I think that’s a very unfair comparison to make.
And then he vvhored his daughter out to business friends to make more money. Uh-huh, like Trump.
Ouch, I don’t see Trump prostituting his daughters.
You know, the guy all you “pro-life” people voted for. Yup, that Trump.
Yes, because there was a clear choice at this election, it was between one candidate who promised to solidify abortion on demand and expand it and the other was a candidate who promised he would defund it and appoint pro-life justices. So the choice for me would have been pretty clear.
😦 God Bless You for first of all trying to discourage her from aborting her child and trying to be there for her. I wish you and her could have found some crises pregnancy organizations or something that could have been able to help.
You need to chill, Yada. You’re the reason why the pro-life movement can’t succeed.
I don’t believe that. 😦
Keep you vitriolic religious attitudes to yourself. The pro-life movement won’t succeed so long as it promotes religion.
I don’t believe that either, being a pro-life atheist, I think you are in a minority. Even so, If you have read how people like Richard Dawkins and others try to justify it, even if you proved life, how then could you argue that it’s immoral to take that life which can be reduced to simply a lump of cells?
America isn’t religious - it’s secular.
And what exactly is secular? how can a nation unite around that? A house divided cannot stand.
Just as pro-abortion religionists (like the “Religious Coalition for Reproductive Rights”) has no place in a secular America, neither does religion-based anti-abortion groups. Keep your gods to yourself.
Couldn’t I reply “Keep your secularism to yourself?”

I hope this has helped

God Bless

Thank you for reading

I don’t know. The term “Pro-Life” is kind of a meaningless term. “Pro-Life” could mean “Pro-Having A Good Time”. Have you seen that George Michael song “Wake Me Up Before You Go Go”, they are wearing t-shirts that say “Choose Life”. “Pro-Life” isn’t a very emotional message to have on placards.

http://www.tshirtlab.com.au/media/c...7a97daa66f/c/h/choose-life-george-michael.jpg

I’d feel much prouder standing behind a placard that says “Babies Rights” than one that says “Pro-Life”. And i think the opposite side, would feel more uncomfortable opposing people who are saying they are in favor of “Babies’ Rights”.

Just my personal opinion though.
Pro-Life only means one thing and that is anti-abortion. It does not mean have a good time!!

Remember Life begins at conception and at conception there is a life but not yet a baby.
You are naive if you think an abortion supporter would be swayed by a change in expression.

I’m not hearing much love for the term “Babies’ Rights” so. It just sounded better to me.

I would think that a move to “Infant Rights” or even better “Fetal Rights” would be the way to go… it covers the subject well and is more inclusive.

“Fetal Rights” is too dehumanizing in my opinion. An “infant” is a grown up baby, at least it is in my mind anyway.

I would agree, the problem I see is we live in a very scientifically minded culture in the West, and explicit use of terms which don’t try to invoke too many associations is what people, mainly atheistic secularists, will respond to. I think this is part of the reason “Pro-Life” fails to get much respect, it sounds so provocative on the surface to them it is in a style that makes them instantly react without thinking. Think of animal rights… ideally the idea is to start with Fetal rights but as people become more open to the idea they begin to reassociate “baby” with fetal…

This really should never have been about “the woman” or “the baby.” It is a mother and her child. To kill is not a “right”, and to live is not a “right.” Life shouldn’t be considered a mere right. Life is not earned but given.

  • Obamacare is a disaster and needs to be replaced, not just repealed.
  • How is Trump a misogynist? He never said he molested women, he said women would LET him touch them. Arrogant, maybe. Hyperbolic, sure. But he never bragged about molesting women.
  • Donald Trump in fact IS your president if you legally live in one of the 50 states.
  • Trump has claimed to be pro-life for years now and his VP is pro-life. I don’t see why I shouldn’t believe that. Lifesite has already said that Trump is planning to sign an executive order to defund international planned parenthood.
  • What’s with the attack on Melania Trump? She’s not the president.
  • I’m Catholic, pro-life and proud.
  • This type of post is not deemed appropriate on this site.
As for your first statement, um, where have you been? I know you love the guy because you think he’s pro-life, but stop being so, well…

Yes, Trump is the President of the US. But I don’t have to respect that sleaze bag misogynist like you do just because you think he’s pro-life.

You got it - he’s “claimed” to be pro-life. How many politicians have said that?

You like Melania? Have you seen her porno? It’s all over the place. What a gracious thing.

I’m glad you’re Catholic, pro-life and proud. Too bad you don’t understand how things work.

I don’t think your type of post is appropriate anywhere. But I support freedom of speech.

My goodness, YADA, you’re really not able to read and comprehend, are you? I’ve made it clear that I’m pro-life and yet you accuse me of wanting “only one option - murder the child.” I’ve probably been involved in pro-life work longer than you can factor a fifth grade math equation. I’ve known what women have gone through. I’ve had women friends who’ve faced horrific situations when they found out they were pregnant and found no alternative but abortion. They were, based upon their circumstances, backed into a corner. I told them the truth about “what’s inside of them” and what abortion does. They had no pro-life resources. And stop that giving-them-diapers BS - yeah, like that’s going to help - grow up, won’t you? I have seen so many “crisis pregnancy centers” fail because all they offer are free diapers, broken down cribs and stained baby clothes. Oh, and here’s a can of corn past the expiration date if you have to eat. Adoption? Yes, that’s a pro-life alternative. So who pays for the prenatal care? They have no insurance. Government “help” is limited. They had abortions because there were no alternatives. The abortion businesses they went to wouldn’t do it for free of even on a sliding scale so they went without groceries or lost utilities. But it was better financially if they remained pregnant. And after their abortions, they cried because they knew what they did so I was there to hug them and comfort them. They did what they did because they had no other alternative. Where were you? Buying diapers?

So, YADA, who’s so proud, pro-life, and Catholic, I won’t ask you to chill. I’ll tell you to grow up. Face reality. Do something productive. If all you can is make accusations, go away and wallow in your own sense of superiority. Oh, and I do know you. I know so many fake “pro-lifers” like you. You’re the reason why we lose. Go look in a mirror.

Well, scientific terms for the baby are the embryo or the fetus. Anyone who is not already pro life will disregard us IMO, just like they are doing whenever people mention the word ‘baby’.

How about:

Pre-Born Lives Matter

or

Unborn Lives Matter

or

Unborn Babies’ Lives Matter

or

Pre-Born Babie’s Lives Matter

?
That will only arouse anger from the general public, since it’s a rip off from Black Lives Matter. The phrase is not wrong, but I’m just saying what will happen. If All Lives Matter is seen in a negative light, this will too

Anyway, pro lifers are not taken seriously because the majority of them are a joke. No offense. But we are already being made fun of because some of us are against welfare, affordable healthcare, whatever that helps the underprivileged people. Some of us are homophobic or racist. We give the impression that we care about the baby until it’s born. So why should people believe when we tell them that we are pro life?

(If you don’t believe me for whatever reason, just scroll through social media)

We should be focusing more on these little issues, in my opinion.

Frankly, this sounds more of words of conditioning than conviction.
