i know being an attention seeker is a sin, but don’t kids seek attention to their parents and whatnot? so wouldn’t they be sinning? i feel like they aren’t sinning 'cause they’re just ‘kids’ but i don’t know. i’m just curious would this be a sin to kids.

being an attention seeker is a sin

. What? How come? what about clowns and actors and actresses and circus people and all the entertaining business not to talk anout theater, music, platic arts and so on?

Seeking attention isn’t wrong it and of itself. Consider missionaries for example, they may be called to draw attention to themselves in order to preach the Gospel to more people. In the case of a child, they may need something from their parent, or may just need reassurance that they are loved. While they might take things too far and become obnoxious, it’s not inherently wrong for them to call attention to themselves.

I think the sin you are thinking of is the sin of vanity, but this is only one of many reasons why a person might call attention to themselves.
