If you preach hate at a service ,your words aren’t anointed, the holy water which you soak in has been poisoned.
I have heard it going around in my church and was wondering if it is even remotely truthful?

…problem with that thought is that perception. Without a clear example of what “hate” means it is difficult to say… ie: Many who voted for Obema continue to ignore that he is the one political agent in the US that has mandated that children who survive the abortion process be guarded from prolifers who would rescue them; he is also the president who stated that if his daughters got pregnant he would not punish them by forcing them to bring the pregnancy to full term (child birth); the same president who quickly signed a bill to finance world-wide abortion (his answer to making the world less poor by removing the poor’s right to have children); the same president who while claiming to being a Christian had the the monogram IHS covered while receiving an honorary title at a “Catholic” college and proceeded to praise Islam and even finance (to the tune of 50 million dollars) the building of mosques–I guess to replace the Christian Churches that Muslims bombed/burned while Christians were in them…

…so what “hate” is the Church preaching?

Maran atha!

Angel

What kind of “hate” are you referring to?

Hatred of sin? Hatred of Satan? Hatred of God?

Well, I don’t think it affects the holy water. It sound a bit superstitous. Quite a lot of homilies are doctrinally flawed. If you encounter such a homily, I recommend writing to the Bishop.

Isn’t that a line from the Macklemore song about how religion is mean because gay marriage?

Doesn’t seem like the best source of doctrine.
