Would this career be morally wrong?

I make beats and i wanted to be a Music producer as my career but ive been wondering if that would be a good or bad idea because alot of the artists that use rap beats talk about evil things in their music, lets say i sell beats online on a website and then one of those secular artists ends up buying a beat to use and they rap about drugs/sex/money etc. Would that mean im contributing to an evil work? Because my conscience tells me maybe, since that type of music influences alot of souls, i dont want God in the end to hold me accountable. Ive heard different answers to this from priests, one said that it would be bad because its going to be bear bad fruit; a different priest said that it was remote cooperation and not direct, therefore God will hold them accountable for what they say in the music and that all im doing is simply making music and selling it. What do you guys think?

In my opinion there are better professions but I dont see any sin in your work.

Although…if I were in your situation I would be uncomfortable selling to someone I KNEW for sure in an individual case was going to make bad music. Just my conscience telling me it may not be a good idea.

Yea i know but its about doing something i love vs a profession that makes more money, and yeah in this case i wont always know what each person is going to talk about in their music but i know its for the most part going to be secular

There can also be people who make good songs with your beats as well. I dont see any sin in this although its always wise to listen to your priests advice. Who knows, you may do this for a while and find something else you like.

“I make beats” Has to be one of the coolest things ever typed on the Catholic boards. As a Conservative Catholic I must admit that I grew up with the golden age of Hip hop and Rap. Snoop, Dre, Biggie, Tupac, Eminem, LL CoolJ, Ludacris, NWA, All the ICE’s etc.
Now, there are indeed Christian and even Catholic artists. Toby Mac is awesome. I knew this dude named Righteous B. Etc. I like all types of music. Country being my favorite but Hip Hop, rock, metal, rap, classical, folk, bluegrass, Jazz etc all have their place and I love them all.
Be a force of light and positivity and holiness in your profession.
