Would this offend you?

I just asked my atheist sister in law and she agrees with Meedo’s idea. She is not happy (kinda goes with the territory I think) and ranks this as more offensive than Christmas displays! She does not want God or any religious connection to the food she puts in her mouth (please dont laugh- she means it!!)
And she thinks less of Muslims and McDonalds now.

Maybe she isnt really devout because I asked her that if God does not exist then nothing got blessed by him.

She did not answer that one.

But I would not buy it only because I dont know the whole process on what makes something halal and how they do it step by step.
If you knew the whole process on what makes something a McDonald’s hamburger, you probably wouldn’t buy that either!

I think muslims should be offended that McDonalds is making its poison more accesible to them.
lol! I agree. I don’t like McDonald’s food…I don’t care what they do to it. 😉 My tastebuds aside, I am not offended that they try to be repectful to the needs of another religion…especially since it really doesn’t harm anyone else.

well I would not be offended if I was served kosher meat or chicken, so I would hardly be offended if the food was halal. I hope no one in the restaurants where I eat is offended when I ask blessing for my food, since I also am praying for everyone in the establishment when i do so. If McDonald’s suddenly starts using a better quality of meat than they do now, that can only be a blessing for everyone. They have no place to go but up in terms of quality.
I totally agree…👍

c- mentioning the name of God ‘’ In the Name of Allah ‘’ . or ‘’ In the name of the God of moses and abraham ‘’ or whatever name for God that is meant to be the God of Abraham
Meedo,

Thank you for the explanation. It was very informative.
I just wanted to know if mentinoing the name of God occurs before the slaughter of each animal or just at the beginning (first one) if there’s more than one. (Not that it bothers me either way – I don’t have a problem with it…just wondering).

Again, thank you for taking the time to explain the process.

Sorry, I beg to differ. If this trend makes it to America, we are doomed…then everything will become Muslim and that’s that…I wouldn’t eat it. Why should I have to go along with what the Muslims want? I won’t. McDonald’s is an American icon. If it changes, forget it. What’s next? And why not offer Kosher hot dogs to the Jews? or bland Hindu meals?
This is wrong, they are taking over once again…😦
People better stop being so naive here and wake up to see what is happening.

What would be wrong with catering to other religious dietary needs? I’d support that. There already is a kosher McDonalds in Israel. No hot dogs though. Before I kept kosher there was a Halel CHinese restuarant in my town that I would eat at. No matter how much Halal Beef & Broccoli I ate, I never had the urge to buy a prayer rug.

I don’t object when my supermarket carries “holiday” fare for Christmas. I don’t see this as being much different.

I always thought that Hindu foods were anything but bland.

How are we Doomed? I dont get it?

Hi,

I dont eat that junk anyway. It doesnt offend me but it does incredibly stupid on Mcdonalds part. They just want to make more money. That is the bottom line.

Acts 15:20
Instead we should write to them, telling them to abstain from food polluted by idols, from sexual immorality, from the meat of strangled animals and from blood.

Since, I consider Allah to be a false god, I would not eat there.

Romans 14
The Weak and the Strong

1Accept him whose faith is weak, without passing judgment on disputable matters. 2One man’s faith allows him to eat everything, but another man, whose faith is weak, eats only vegetables. 3The man who eats everything must not look down on him who does not, and the man who does not eat everything must not condemn the man who does, for God has accepted him. 4Who are you to judge someone else’s servant? To his own master he stands or falls. And he will stand, for the Lord is able to make him stand.
5One man considers one day more sacred than another; another man considers every day alike. Each one should be fully convinced in his own mind. 6He who regards one day as special, does so to the Lord. He who eats meat, eats to the Lord, for he gives thanks to God; and he who abstains, does so to the Lord and gives thanks to God. 7For none of us lives to himself alone and none of us dies to himself alone. 8If we live, we live to the Lord; and if we die, we die to the Lord. So, whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord.

9For this very reason, Christ died and returned to life so that he might be the Lord of both the dead and the living. 10You, then, why do you judge your brother? Or why do you look down on your brother? For we will all stand before God’s judgment seat. 11It is written:
" ‘As surely as I live,’ says the Lord,
‘every knee will bow before me;
every tongue will confess to God.’ "[a] 12So then, each of us will give an account of himself to God.

13Therefore let us stop passing judgment on one another. Instead, make up your mind not to put any stumbling block or obstacle in your brother’s way. 14As one who is in the Lord Jesus, I am fully convinced that no food** is unclean in itself. But if anyone regards something as unclean, then for him it is unclean. 15If your brother is distressed because of what you eat, you are no longer acting in love. Do not by your eating destroy your brother for whom Christ died. 16Do not allow what you consider good to be spoken of as evil. 17For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit, 18because anyone who serves Christ in this way is pleasing to God and approved by men.

19Let us therefore make every effort to do what leads to peace and to mutual edification. 20Do not destroy the work of God for the sake of food. All food is clean, but it is wrong for a man to eat anything that causes someone else to stumble. 21It is better not to eat meat or drink wine or to do anything else that will cause your brother to fall.

22So whatever you believe about these things keep between yourself and God. Blessed is the man who does not condemn himself by what he approves. 23But the man who has doubts is condemned if he eats, because his eating is not from faith; and everything that does not come from faith is sin.**

It is not what goes into a man that makes him unclean, but what comes out of his mouth. No, I’m not offended. I think that we will see things like this where it makes good business sense for a business to cater to its customers. Apparently, this makes good sense for McDonald’s in Muslim areas. Now, if I were McDonalds, I would be very careful about it though. What if you advertise that you are following Islam’s dietary laws and make a mistake? People have been killed for less…

2- the method of preparation of the food is according to the law . Mainly it means how to slaughter the animal or bird.

b- The use of ‘‘sharp’’ and ‘‘steardy’’ clean object as a tool for slaughter . It is prohibited to use object that are not sharp or steardy enough that can cause the animal to get hurt but not die instantly . The ultimate goal is a swift slaughter with minimal suffering for teh animal . Including in the manners of slaughter is not to slaughter an animal infront of another animal or near by so it can hear it however i dont think its a condition, but if ignored it is a sin punishable by God as cruelty.
I would think that animal rights activists would be all for this (although many of them think we shouldn’t eat animals at all).

Since the animal isn’t slaughtered in a ritual to Allah then its ok for christians to eat it. We bless our food through Christ our Lord before we eat it anyway.

What if this Halal food is prepared on the same cooking surface the pork breakfast patties were on?

I mean if they try to do both? I know someone will say if its cleaned properly first—

But come on! Think about that one, who is going to know if a spot or two got missed in the cleaning?

I think its got to be a hard thing to do if they offer both halal and non halal in the same facility as nice an idea that may be. Its too risky.

Christmas is different Valke, we’re talking a National holiday and the birth of Christ, hardly compares to Halal burgers.
The Muslims want to take over the world, let alone America, and stupid people like McDonald’s are allowing this. I think it’s dumb. Having a Kosher McDonald’s perhaps belongs in Israel, having Halal burgers, belongs in Muslim countries.
All about the almighty dollar. Hey I tell it like it is and I’m not afraid to say the truth.

Because they want to take over the world…this is a small start.
Have you ever had a Hindu meal? Gross…

I like your signature reference… the site you provide has a lot of great information… however…

a spot or two got missed in the cleaning…

it still links to Garry Matatic’s conversions story and he has professed his total support for that “sede…” word that raises the ire of the moderators.

and it seems to link to too many sources of support for the schism of the SSPX.

it could provide some problems to some inquiring minds.:ehh:

.

I love Indian food. What’s the matter with it?
Well, I am going by what I had on an airplane by mistake. They gave me a Hindu meal instead of a regular meal. Was like beans and bland stuff. It was gross.

If McDonalds sells Hindu foods will that mean we are doomed too? Or just doomed to having a harder time deciding what to order?
