The Google Terms and Conditions says that you must be eighteen years old. Seeing as I’m fifteen, would it be a sin for me?

I would e-mail Google and ask what kind of dumb legal counsel they have, I mean, if they seriously want to exclude people younger than 18 from using Google legally (it being somewhat established that they do not want to exclude them factually).

Edit: Actually, I’ve e-mailed them. Told them I was a lawyer and shared my honest opinion. Expecting them to e-mail back. If not, I’ll write to appropriate authorities to start enforcing non-use of Google in public schools. 🙂 Yay!

Wow…18 years old to use Google. Looks like a LOT of children are going to gaol. Though, I don’t think it’s a sin.

Well, let’s see…the elementary school I work in uses Google docs for students in the upper grades to submit essays and paragraphs to the teachers. They are ages 10-12. The Catholic junior high and high school uses Google Docs for their students to submit work - those kids are 13-18. They also recommend Google as the preferred search engine, so, I would say you are just fine.

Wow! Are you sure that’s for the enter website, or just to turn safe search off? You have to be careful with google images if you don’t have safe search on, there are some pretty nasty pictures that come up for even relatively innocent searches. Other than that, I would have guessed the age limit to be 13, as it is with most non-“mature” (in quotes because pornography is horribly adolescent behavior) sites.
