But he eventually did.Even Peter could not die for him.
I chose “Yes”, but only because there was no “I’d like to believe I would if I had to” option.

I think I have already died in him during my baptism, buried with Christ in my baptism. I’m just waiting to rise in new life with him now.Would you die for Jesus and his Church. Think about this one seriously.
I’ve always wanted to, since I was a kid reading about martyrs and their stories.Would you die for Jesus and his Church. Think about this one seriously.
I understand what you’re saying. I can say pretty easily that I would die for Jesus. But how much torture would I endure before I gave in, is another question. My first thought is yes, of course, but it is much easier said than done. I cannot imagine the difficulty some have faced of being tortured for hours and keeping the faith through it all…Indeed, some are called to endure so much pain for Christ…Is it wrong to hope that one does not have to? At one point in my life, I would have welcomed martyrdom. Now, I honestly fear it…
Prayers and petitions,

Or …The problem is never dying for Him…but LIVING for him day to day and moment by moment…
to give me the strength
that I be worthy of dying for him
and may I find Him in every person I meet.
