Hi there!Catholics too have a personal relationship with Jesus but we don’t call it that .
It has always struck me as somewhat hypocritical for bible-only Christians to criticize Catholics for not using a phrase that isn’t in the bible.
It’s in the CCC though:
**299 **The universe, created in and by the eternal Word, the “image of the invisible God”, is destined for and addressed to man, himself created in the “image of God” and called to a personal relationship with God.
**796 **The unity of Christ and the Church, head and members of one Body, also implies the distinction of the two within a personal relationship.
**2558 **This mystery, then, requires that the faithful believe in it, that they celebrate it, and that they live from it in a vital and personal relationship with the living and true God.
In Christ,
Nancy
