Don’t know if it helps, but when Mirdath and I met, I swore like a longshoreman (though I did make an effort to use it effectively, not just as ‘filler’
) and Mirdath had about the cleanest mouth I have ever seen.
Now that we’ve been married a while, eh, it’s kinda balanced out. I swear rather less, and Mirdath rather more than we used to. Both of us DO regard them as perfectly appropriate in some situations - really, there are times nothing else truly expresses one’s sentiments as well and succinctly. Like say, when one makes a nasty mistake with fire, knives, or electricity, though the cursing is usually immediately preceded by variants on “AUGH!” “EEEEEE” or “AGLBLAG” respectively.
