Would you mind doing an Atheist a favor?

I am wondering if you would mind praying for my conversion? I seem to have no manner of reaching any spiritual depth and appear incapable of doing so on my own.

At issue is a fairly straightforward lack of belief…yet realizing same is not bringing with it any peace or joy I would humbly ask a handful of prayers to see if such a thing might move the needle somewhat.

This may not come to any meaningful fruition, however, I would not be able to honestly claim to have tried all avenues without making this simple request.

I appreciate any efforts you might expend on my behalf and apologize in advance if it might prove futile…

I will attempt to provide an update at a future date.
 
Jesus, through the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I offer You my prayers, works, joys, and sufferings of this day in union with the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass throughout the world. I offer them for all the intentions of Your Sacred Heart: the salvation of souls, reparation for sin, and the reunion of all Christians. I offer them for the intentions of our bishops and of all Apostles of Prayer, and in particular for those recommended by our Holy Father this month.

An atheist! Now that requires the same leap of faith as a Theist. So you are nearly there! Asking for prayers for your belief requires humility, another crack in the ice. Acknowledging your inability to find Faith without the help of God to gift it to you is another step towards the Truth. You just need that shove that makes you fall into His arms. My poor sad prayers are right behind you. May St. Thomas guide you. May Mary whisper your name in the ear of her Son. May the Holy Spirit rise up in Its great power to take you. May Jesus claim you as His own,now and on the day of judgment.

if I know one thing it’s that pray is never, ever futile…no apologies necessary…what will be will be…keep an open mind…stay curious…I’m excited for you…
and, yes, I will pray for you, daily…in my own special manner…please keep us posted…

I absolutely will be happy to pray for you and your conversion. One thing you could do that would help on your end would be to pray the Rosary, which is tailor made for this situation. You will get a personal up front experience. Your prayers will go to the front of the line, so to speak and will receive blessings of the Lord through our lady.

Watch.the Fatima movie, it’s about when Our Lady appeared in Portugal and left a massive miracle seen by thousands of people,

Watch the mini Bible series, and it’s movie “Son of God,”

Watch the movie “Risen,”

Watch the history channels series, “AD”

Download onto your smartphone and spend the 13 dollars on the complete “Truth and Life Bible app” (it contains the whole new Testament acted out by top Hollywood actors with a musical soundtrack and sound effects, it’s like listening to movie),

Faith is a gift of prayer.

You need to pray for 30 mins (or at least 10 mins) each day for God to give you the gift of faith.

Google catholic prayers.

Visit a Catholic Church, and sit before the tabernacle or in the adoration chapel. Jesus is truly present body, blood, soul and Divinity there. Ask Him to give you faith
. Spend an hour each week with Jesus in church.

Go to catholic mass on Sundays and just listen.
