It’s a little in the boonies, but it looks so cool. What a great price!

My dh is so settled in our house, I’ll never pry him out. If only I had known when we moved here! He told me that it was for a few years (that was 10 years ago). Oh well, it’s a good thing that he’s cute.

I still like to look on the 'net and daydream about houses. I esp. like unusual houses.

What cha think?

That IS cool! And the PRICE!!! Wow! It is very affordable.

You could probably get some good money from those curved wooden pews too.

This being Thanksgiving and all, I am thinking of Alice’s Restaurant.

Any, cool place, but could you really convert it into a house?

I like how this is listed with Cathedral Ceilings!

** I LOVE IT!!!** It would take some serious renos though to make more rooms. Converted churches and schoolhouses are so neat. I would be delirious to have stained glass windows in my home 😃 And that is an UNBELIEVABLE price. Teeny houses in a midrange neighbourhood go for $400k + here. It’s so ridiculous.

I love unusual houses but DH always thinks they’re ugly. It’s kind of moot since we can barely pay rent :o but someday…

It would probably be difficult to resell. But, I think I could settle in there for a long time…

did you notice that it has two furnaces? Probably expensive to heat…

The price is $79,000?

I haven’t seen prices like that for 25 or more years. Even if you spend another 100,000 to renovate…it’s still very little for such a huge property. Wow!

Here’s the parish, the property is closest. I don’t know much about it, but since they have daily Mass in a small parish, that’s a good sign.

home.indy.rr.com/edsdirectory/index.htm

stmichaelsgrfld.org/ is one that is a 20 min. drive away. It’s a pretty good parish that has a great school.

olafamilycenter.org/default.htm

is the Regnum Christi center, probably a 30 minute drive away.

So, even though it’s in the country, there’s an active Catholic community.

VERY cool. Great price too. And you could have a priest say mass at the house! 😃 It needs a lot of work obviously, but for that price…it’s definitely worth buying.

Wonder how much it would cost to heat or to keep cool. I would think a bundle.

I would LOVE to live in an old church. I have the next best thing, though…the house we just moved into is an old schoolhouse! It was built in 1895 as the
African American school in town. It’s a big red brick 2 story. We love it. 😃
