There came a rich man from Arimathea, named Joseph. … and [he] asked for the body of Jesus. … When Joseph had taken the body, he wrapped it in a clean linen cloth, and laid it in his new tomb.
(Matthew 27:57-60)

by his knowledge my righteous servant will justify many,
and he will bear their iniquities.
Therefore I will give him a portion among the great,
and he will divide the spoils with the strong,
because he poured out his life unto death,
and was numbered with the transgressors.
For he bore the sin of many,
and made intercession for the transgressors.
(Isaiah 53:11-12)

Came true.

Now Thomas (also known as Didymus ), one of the Twelve, was not with the disciples when Jesus came. So the other disciples told him, “We have seen the Lord!”
But he said to them, “Unless I see the nail marks in his hands and put my finger where the nails were, and put my hand into his side, I will not believe.”

A week later his disciples were in the house again, and Thomas was with them. Though the doors were locked, Jesus came and stood among them and said, "Peace be with you!" Then he said to Thomas, "Put your finger here; see my hands. Reach out your hand and put it into my side. Stop doubting and believe." 
Thomas said to him, "My Lord and my God!" 
Then Jesus told him, "Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed."

Jesus performed many other signs in the presence of his disciples, which are not recorded in this book. But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.
(John 20:24-31)

I think it is worth noting that many of these predictions were from the Book of Isaiah. The earliest existing copy of a complete scroll of that book is one of the Dead Sea Scrolls, which was penned long before Jesus’ birth, death and resurrection. It is on display, today, in a public museum in Israel.

(KJV) For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.

Yes, good one! I believe St. Peter quoted this one in Acts, and reasoned that King David was not speaking of himself, because his body was still in the grave.

Thank you, LAK! What blew me away was finding out that the Christian faith was not blind, rather, it was putting trust in sound evidence. Ask a Muslim, for example, who but the God could know the future before it happens, and he will say no one but the God could. Ask him to show you one prediction of the future in the Koran that is as specific and verifiable as these, and he will give you none (i know, because i’ve read the Koran).

The fact that the Bible is the only religious collection of books that writes history before it happens with 100% accuracy 100% of the time is overwhelming evidence to me that the Bible is Divine, rather than human, in origin. To me, it is overwhelming evidence that this stuff we believe is about Jesus really is true.
