You are misunderstanding my points.** The Church in my opinion is not in schism since it was not together in the first place. **What I was saying is that this movement to come together has not occurred. What I am implying God is moving us together now for the FIRST TIME. You misunderstand my points because you think only of the Catholic Church as the one Church. What I am proposing is that East and West is the one Church. But as long as you believe the Catholic Church to be only the true Church then yes I am wrong. But I believe I am right because it makes sense. My OC has many apostolic foundations and it seems some of the Catholics had forgotten there were 12 apostles!
this thus concludes our correspondance. I’m happy to see your passionate for Jesus, but you must meditate what Jesus said in the Gospel of John which was ‘‘May they be one’’.

there can only be ‘‘one faith’’ and as long as the east is seperated from the Papacy amongst other things, then there is no ‘‘one faith’’. Oh there is one faith alright and thats the Catholic one, however the invitation to the east and also to the west from the Lord to work hard together and unite must be heeded and brought about soon.

Thanks for your replies .

Sorry guys I really do not know the mechanics of this computer or how to put down
what you have referred to in these posts. I apologize because really I do not know what
you are talking about. Do you have smaller screens? Really I don’t understand the problem. By the way I will like to say that references to my condition really need not to be
spoken unless I bring them up. The reason I brought it up in some posts was to help people understand that suffering can enable a person to achieve wisdom and understanding that usually can benefit the person better than had he read let us say many
books. I had suffered alot yes but by and large that has no bearing to my posts or
how I am doing. God used this disability to achieve within me a greater understanding
of His wisdom and to apply it to others when it seems right. The OC has a poor understanding towards suffering and my mentions were to imply that the Catholic
Church can give better answers to the questions regarding suffering. His Holiness
John Paul II wrote intensively about redemptive suffering and it is one of my favourite
topics. His chair is in my church and I find it comforting that his chair reminds me of his presence and with that, this great hope I see in him answers that I need with regards to
my own suffering. The Catholic Church can give great hope and answers to the
reasons why we suffer. It is strange that one of our own Church fathers an Eastern
saint did describe the Catholic teaching when he said " when you are granted a miracle you owe God. When you are given the gift of suffering God owes you. It is strange
that the OC did not pick up on his teaching. Thank God that the Catholic Church did.
Suffering is a tremondous gift that we should not waste. I pray that someday my
Orthodox brethren will pick up this tremendous teaching our Catholic brethren has given
to the Church. It has tremendous value and can give hope to many. Someday I hope
what God has been doing for me will be a benefit for His Church and the realization
of Pope John Paul II’s dream of a united Church will come forth, the best witness for this troublesome world.

I personally can only say that I brought up your condition in order to defend you from certain comments that seemed to be slightly mocking your mode of expression. I did not say your writing “style” was like that BECAUSE of your condition; I said it COULD BE.

I also brought up my OCD to remind people not to be so “uncharitable” towards other posters’s styles that they find “uncomfortable” or “unintelligible.”

I’m truly sorry if you found my comments “uncalled” for. I was simply referencing something you yourself had previously mentioned in order to remind people not to make fun of your writing style and mode of expression.

Again, I’m sorry if you found my comments out of line. They came from a truly well-meaning place. But I will not mention it again. I did not intend to mention them again anyway.
I actually enjoy most of your posts. you make a lot of good points. 👍

And you’re right, David. Sometimes The Almighty gives us “conditions” as a means to achieve Redemptive Suffering and Wisdom. My OCD is probably meant as a manifestation of that.🙂

Thank you for your words. I was not implying or directing them to you. I had some unfortunate incounters earlier with some who had made sad remarks towards my condition. Please understand those words which I wrote were actually towards them. You have alot of compassion for others who are suffering and I thank you for that. I wish more people will have this compassion because the sufferer tends to need it once in awhile. It seems those who suffer can understand more what I am saying.

I also believe in one faith too Stephen. I also believe Rome needs its primacy. I believe in the Roman Catholic Church. But I also believe in my own. What I am trying to do is to understand better this East and West scenerio. I honestly believe the Church of Rome is important enough to be in communion with the East. I honestly believe that as Orthodox we can no longer do without the Church of Rome. Her devotions and her saints are necessary for us Orthodox. My words are spoken metaphorically but deep inside them is the recognition that Rome is essential even more in these days if us Orthodox are to continue as a Church.

:o Sorry. I was not aware of brother David’s condition, nor of its relation to his writing/typing style.

Blessings
