Is it wrong to repeat prayers…We are told that ‘God hears us the first time’ in the bible. But, I do repeat prayers. I do pray for the same thing, and the same people almost every night sometimes. Is this wrong? I’m sorry but I forget the quote in the bible that states against this. But it explains that we should know that God hears us the first time. And if it is not wrong, then how can you counter- balance the biblical text?
 
“So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.”- Luke 11:9

Not ask (once), seek (briefly), or knock (lightly)- go right ahead and keep praying your ‘unoriginal’ prayers.
