I brought a extra controller to my XboxOne. Me and my brother tried to get Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag to play with me and him. It kind of disappointed me because on the box of Assassin’s Creed it say you can play on the Xbox One with up two players. For Xbox live it says 2-8 players.

According to the official Xbox website you have to have the Xbox Live for multiplayers and only that the Xbox Live Gold can have free games. Other than trying to get multiplayers we have know problems.

I mean the free Xbox live where anyone registered with a Microsoft account has acess to. How can I have multiplayers on my Xbox One without Xbox Gold?

I hate to say it but I am of no use here as I do not have the game system. Have you looked online at game forums though?

Are you trying to play offline? If you want to play multiplayer online then you need a Gold account. Does the game have a split screen option to play with two offline? If so the other player needs to have a"profile" to log into, which is simple to do. That’s not the same thing as a Gold Account member it’s just a name the system needs to keep accounts and profiles separate.

You have to have Xbox Gold.

There’s no other way around it.
