What would be the correct equivalent of when you see LORD in the RSV and NAB?
Take Exodus 6:3 for example. In the RSV and NAB, it is LORD. In the Latin Vulgate and the Douay-Rheims (sp) it is Adonai. In the King James Version it is Jehovah. I have also seen Yahweh and Elohim.
One of my professors (I’m a freshman in college) taught us to write it as YHWH. I had thought that Jehovah was actually a mistranslation. I’m not sure if that’s accurate, and I don’t know where I got that idea.
