Well it was FREEZING in Central Florida today like degrees which for us in the south is like Sub zero, but I still made to mass for the Celebration of Mary the Immaculate Conception. It was a little sad that I was by far the youngest person there and by young I mean 33.😦 It was a beautiful mass though and the Readings and Homily were amazing.😃
Bet if you go back to the evening Mass, there will be a lot more young people there.

I know that our 8:00am is too late for most that have to go to school or work, but the 7:00pm will be packed.

I wanted to go to the 7pm mass but got stuck at work tonight so me and the over 60’s were chilling this morning 😃

I went to Wednesday night confession at 6:30 and was still waiting in line most of the (7:30) mass. The church was full if you include the confession line. Not bad considering it was driving cold rain. It was supposed to flurry afterwards but that didn’t happen.

Oh wow. I don’t want to give you the wrong information so I will direct you to a CAF priest:

Private message him and he will have the right answer. 🙂 He may even direct you to your RCIA instructor or the parish priest.

Personally, I would think you can confess soon after you start RCIA. Good luck and welcome home!

Usually, people going through RCIA wait to give their first confession until you get closer to Easter, typically during Lent. This allows for you to go through the majority of the formation in Church doctrine, the various rites, etc. before so that by that time you are sure you are going to be received into the Church at Easter.

If you have further questions, there are dozens of threads about RCIA and first confessions.

Peace!

I think it’s best to go through the RCIA process first. Then you have an accurate understanding of what constitutes sin, mortal sin, contrition, etc. You will probably also be taught in RCIA HOW to confess, etc. Typically most RCIA programs will have a special day and time for those participating to do their first confession and it is right before Easter.

It was absolutely freezing in Greenville this morning and I think the church was colder for mass this morning than even outside…takes us southerners awhile to admit we have to turn the heat on apparently!!! 😃

Yeah. We went to POP last night. I don’t think they turn the heat on regardless of outdoor temperature, lol.

12 is much better for me. I can actually do that several times a week! I’m glad to hear that. You just made my day.

Yeah, I think some of the folks here would certainly love the architecture of that Church! Msgr. Brovey did well!
