I’m a manly man, no tears for me!:tsktsk: LOL, no, my ALMOST to tears moment was after the first time I attended mass w/ one of our deacons and got a blessing. The next week in RCIA we sat in the church in the first pews for our discussion. I just couldn’t stop staring up toward the alter and tabernacle thinking “He’s really HERE!” Oh, I really think some of you cradle Catholics don’t realize how good you have had it!
It’s not that I never felt like I was not in the club, every parishoner I have spoken with about it has been so welcoming. It’s just the whole inquirer stage feels like you just have some casual flirtation w/ the idea of being Catholic.
It’s like being on a roller coaster (and I mean that in a good way). The inquirer stage is like getting into the seat, buckling in and heading for the big hill. Now it feels like I’ve made it up the hill and the cart is just about to pick up speed as it goes over the crest. It’s that split second in between but you know the bottom is coming quick! The anticipation and excitement are excruciating! Does that make sense?
