Year of Paul, favorite verse

The year of Paul, as decreed by Pope Benedict XVI, is coming to an end soon. Seeing as all denominations have much respect for Paul and his epistles my question for you whether Catholic, Orthodox, Protestant, Non-denom, or what have you, what is your favorite verse by Paul and why?

It’s hard to pick just one, since he was such an eloquent writer. But my top three would be:

I Corinthians 11:23-26 - For I received from the Lord what I also handed on to you, that the Lord Jesus on the night when he was betrayed took a loaf of bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it saying, “This is my body that is for you. Do this in remembrance of me.” In the same way he took the cup also after supper, saying “This cup is the new covenant in my blood. Do this, as often as you drink it, in memory of me.” For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes.

The whole of I Corinthians 13, on the subject of love, is also a favourite. And I like Philippians 4:13, which says, “I can do all things through him who strengthens me.”

I’d say also there are far too many to count - and that ‘I can do all things in Christ who strengthens me’ has helped me greatly in recent times. What a beautiful mix of perfect optimism with humble realisation of our nothingness without God!

Rom. 8:38-39

Eph 3:14-31

And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.

Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.
