Year of the Eucharist

Are any of the churches you attend planning any special events for the Year of the Eucharist starting in October? Some of us at my small parish are wanting to plan some special events but are looking for suggestions.

have you searched for other threads on suggestions for the Year of the Eucharist? There have been a few good ones. Take a look at www.yearoftheeucharist.com too. they have a discussion list to share ideas.

One local parish is doing an evening benedication next week, with a talk on the Holy Eucharist by a priest. Our parish, last evening, had a talk by a wonderful sister on Eucharist: the Gift No One Asked For. It was awesome. We also plan to invited different groups to try our perpetual adoration chapel each month - friends, father/son, dating couples, sisters, grandparents/grandchildren. We’ve got a prayer written for each group to pray asking for a deeper awareness of the gift that Eucharist is to us all!

We’ll have weekly bulletin articles - sharing prayers, Eucharistic hymns, and family discussion questions, resources, etc.

What about other parishes?

our parish has no plans yet (as far as i know) but we want to get one day of eucharistic adoration a week with a hope of expanding it (we have to start small)–i like your ideas & maybe we will incorporate some into our parish also.
