Year of youth and family!

“The Vatican’s Secretary of State described 2018 as being characterized “by the Church’s special attention on young people, that is, on their hopes, goals, and the challenges facing them.”

“The World Meeting of Families takes place in Dublin, Ireland on 21-26 August, just ahead of the Ordinary Assembly of the Synod of Bishops in Rome, whose focus will be “on Young People, the Faith, and Vocational Discernment”.”

“In January 2017, Pope Francis called for a Synod of Bishops to take place in October of 2018 on the topic of, “Young People, the Faith, and Vocational Discernment”. All dioceses, including the Archdiocese of Toronto, have been asked by the Holy Father to provide (name removed by moderator)ut which will be used to help draft the Instrumentum Laboris, the working paper for the Synod participants.”

I am bumping this back up.

It seems this year , declared by Holy Father Pope Francis is little known . It’s global, not Australian.

It would be wonderful to dedicate a subforum to youth, we have one for families.
