Yemen extremist plan to crucify captured Syro Malabar priest on Good Friday

Dear Friends,

Please pray for Fr. Tom Uzhunnalil who has been captured by extremist. Fr. Tom is a member of the Salesian Order and was on assignment under the Latin Church in Yemen doing charity work for the elderly. He refused to leave Yemen, even with the threats on his life but instead stayed and continued his work. In an earlier attack, nuns that worked with Fr. Tom were murdered along with some elderly. At the moment among the community and on some news media, there has been strong rumor that the extremist plan to crucify Fr. Tom on Good Friday. Besides this grave rumor that has been circling, there are no other whereabouts of Fr. Tom. Please pray for the repose of the Sisters and elderly who have died and for Fr. Tom and all others who face threats in the Middle East and around the world.

Fr. Tom is the priest in the middle with the martyred Sisters.

praying for God’s mercy and protection for Fr. Tom and may his captors hearts be converted from hatred to compassion.
 
This news is not true.
Salesians authorities from India have confirmed that they are having no news of Fr.Tom since he was captured
 
I’ve seen reports that this is a false report … Either way my prayers are with him and for the group that may hold him… That they may see that theirs is a path that will only lead to failure, that they might come to accept that only through respect and dialogue can we move forward as a family
 
all we do know is that Father Tom went missing after the murder of the 4 missionaries of Charity. We do not know if he is even alive or being tortured or if this report is true.

we can only hope and pray that it is NOT true…but if its ISIS that took him, I would not put this past them - they’ve done that sort of thing to other innocents.

He is Syro Malabar working under the Latin Church.

Yes the report of the extremist plan is a very strong rumour. The only fact known is that he has been takin by the extremists. Thank you all for your prayers, let us hope that this rumour stays a rumour and that he is brought back to safety unharmed.

God be with Fr Tom and the sisters, and all those who face threats around the world. Folks like Fr Tom are heroes to the world, these are the types of people who refuse to give into terrorists, even at risk to their own life. The terrorists are trying there best to divide the good people of Yemen. The terrorists are not many, but they can cause alot of damage with just one attack. Still the resounding message from the Yemeni people is one that rejects terrorism and this is something Fr Tom, the sisters and most Arabs in Yemen will tell you. I pray for the good people of Yemen and I pray that the terrorists can see the error of their way and change for the better.
 
It was just confirmed that Fr.Tom was crucified on Good Friday:sleepy:😪😪 may this good and faithful servant rest in the arms of Our Lord for eternity.🙏🙏🙏
 
Interesting, all the media reports I’m seeing are saying yes there are reports that this possibly happened… But nothing has been confirmed

Yes you are correct,my daughter just called and mentioned that it has not been definitiv,y cnfirmed.My first reply was base off a a comment another family member posted this morning. Continued prayers for Fr.Tom🙏
