I’ve always been Catholic, but not always a “good” or practicing Catholic. That’s changing. In fact, I went to Confession this past week, and it was the first time in a very long time. The night before, I did and Examination of Conscience and even found a couple of websites that helped me do this. At Confession, I told Father that it had been a very long time since my last confession and I could not put a number on my mortal sins; but that they were numerous. I did confess my mortal sins; but after I left I remembered other things that I wanted to confess but forgot. Quite frankly, I was incredibly nervous and couldn’t gather my thoughts.
At Mass later that day, I didn’t feel it was right to receive Communion. I made an effort to make a good confession, but I don’t know that I did.
Any thoughts?
