Yet another question

1. Are the laity bound by the Seal of Confession?
2. At one point, earlier in my life, I posted some material on a website that would lead others into mortal sin. I was told to go back and look to make sure it was all gone from the site. I did this and to my joy found that the garbage I put up was gone. However, did I sin in exposing myself to the temptations on the website? These were temptations to mortal sexual sin.

You have done all you could to reverse the wrong you have done. Confess it to a priest and you will be fine.

Yes. I have found that confession weekly is a great way to keep the mind pure. Also, wear a scapular and dedicate yourself to our Blessed Mother. Pray for the graces of purity. Throughout the day, I periodically touch my scapular lightly and pray a Hail Mary. She knows what you need.

Attend Mass and keep her company for 15 minutes afterwards on the first Saturday of every month. In time, your mind and heart will be transformed.

Again, thank you. The material was created more than a year ago. I confessed it somewhat and let it sink into forgottenness. Recently, however, my conscience began troubling me again, and horrible images and thoughts began flashing through my mind. I realized that I had not actually rooted out all my lust. Now, however, after an incredible amount of Confessions, I think I might finally be done.

I read someone say on an Orthodox forum once that when we remember a sin we had forgotten to confess, it is the Holy Spirit saying that we are finally mature enough to confess it… but I guess that doesn’t mean that it’s easy, does it?

I’ve found that the Jesus Prayer is an excellent defense against unclean thoughts, although sometimes it takes me what feels like forever to get through a “fit.”
