I’m new to the Byzantine Church and I’m wondering where to start, since I’ve only been familiar with Western Christianity - especially considering the fact that there’s less information online about the Orthodox praxis and theology than is available for free about Protestantism and Roman Catholicism. I like what I see so far, and I really feel like God has called me to this, but I studied my butt off in Western Christianity and now I kind of feel like I’m back at square one!

This sounds like me a year ago. Take your time, don’t rush. Enjoy the ride 😉

Just attend the Divine Liturgy regularly. If the priest has time for catechesis, talk to him and ask questions. The most important part is to live the traditions of the Church you are in now. You will grow from there.
