Dunno yet, but I heard a philosopher who said that “yoga” actually means connected, from the same root as “yoke.”
Therefore when Jesus said “my yoke is light” it was like saying “my yoga is light.” Connecting ourselves to Him is not a burden, but an ease of burdens it would seem. I think many of us see “yoke” as much as submission as connection, but I speak only for myself on that because I know nothing of actual yokes as in on oxen and stuff.
There are many forms of yoga, some mental, some physical, and others both. “Yoga” itself seems a pretty wide open term. I have not practiced any myself, except for some back exercises I saw on TV by a yoga lady I used to watch, that did help my back. That was hardly a spiritual experience, but it did drive out some pain.
