You caught us Catholics!!! It is repitition!!!

THE ROSARY IS REPITION!!! šŸ™‚

But I personally do not use this to impress God as the gentiles would do. I like familiar rythym and familiar prayers that come with it. Since Mary is my mother itā€™s like going crawl up on her lap and tell her my problems so she could nag Jesus about it! Just as you hug your earthly mother and you are greeted with her familiar scent and love and warmth so it is with our heavenly mother.

I just though I would let non-catholics know theyā€™re right about one part and Catholics know theyā€™re right about the other part. šŸ‘
 
How many times do we want to be told, ā€œI love you?ā€ Thatā€™s repetition.

When I was a young married wife I used to long for my husband to say, ā€œI love youā€, but he never did. I remember asking finally, do your love me Dā€¦?" He replied without turning around, ā€œI *told *you I did. It goes till further notice.ā€

Repetition isnā€™t such a bad thing!!! šŸ˜ƒ

ā€¦Regarding the Rosary, the word are repetitive, but the meditations accompanying them continue to unfold the life of Jesus
 
The rosary is not repetiton, it is contemplation. What is required for contemplative prayer? Love and preservance. Remember the parable of the widow and the judge!
 
Somebody better tell Jesus that He shouldnā€™t have repeated His prayer in the garden of Gethsemane.
 
Isnā€™t it funny, the ones who make these crazy claims concerning the Rosary, have absolutely no idea what The Rosary truly is.
I have heard them say it is a Marian prayer and has nothing to do with Jesus or they say it is just a useless repetition of prayers, which they claim God forbids.

The Rosary is a most powerful, contemplative prayer. As each prayer is said, you mediate on the Sacred Mysteries in the Life of Jesus.

I can honestly bear witness to the fact that the Rosary has radically transformed my life in the spirit. I personally know that next to the Holy Eucharist the Rosary has been a great source of abundant helping graces. I encourage all Christians to recite the Rosary daily.
 
I say the Our Father daily. Thatā€™s 365 times a year.

And if a thousand years are like a day to Godā€¦

Donā€™t forget that there is nothing wrong about praying the Rosary - so, we are not just right about other part - we are right about the entire prayer.

I try to say the Rosary daily and I agree with you 100 per cent:thumbsup:

The Rosary has enabled me to live a Chaste life which befits my station.šŸ™‚

Why do nuns (eg, on EWTN) recite the rosary over and over and over in a sitting. Why not just once and then again the next time they meet for prayer. I canā€™t see myself doing it, yet I donā€™t mind what they are doingā€¦just wondering.

Romans 8:27 "and He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He intercedes for the saints according to the will of God.

23 The {former} priests, on the one hand, existed in greater numbers because they were prevented by death from continuing, 24 but Jesus, on the other hand, because He continues forever, holds His priesthood permanently. 25 Therefore He is able also to save forever those who draw near to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them. 26 For it was fitting for us to have such a high priest, holy, innocent, undefiled, separated from sinners and exalted above the heavens; 27 who does not need daily, like those high priests, to offer up sacrifices, first for His own sins and then for the {sins} of the people, because this He did once for all when He offered up Himself.

Thatā€™s is how they live their lives for - they offer up their lives to pray for the whole world, and this is their vocation. Praying is communicating with God. Praying for intercession of the Saints is wonderful. You might not do as much as the nuns do, but everyone has different vocation and responsibility that God gives us in life - if we fulfill our vocation, we do Godā€™s will.
