The hand shaking, singing, and guitars don’t really bother me. But this is coming from someone who’s never attended a TLM. I guess when you compare them (TLM/Novus Ordo), there really is no comparison

I have never left one of my Pauline Masses empty or angry but I certainly did leave many an abused TLM that way pre-Vatican II, especially when I had to serve at the early Sunday morning ones.

I hope the TLM’s being celebrated now are as good as those who attend them say they are because they sure weren’t in my growing up days. I may get to find out in July though as I may take my mother to the one that is about 45 minutes from her when I go to visit her then.

No, unfortunately, I’m not. It turned out to be the one of the secretaries in their office, and I just couldn’t believe it. To this day, it’s a good (and sad) story to tell.

There is a protestant, Episcopal church that holds true to the sacred traditions better than most Catholics do. Heck, they even pray the rosary at this protestant church, have High and Low Mass and believe in the real presences. They even have their altar ad orientum. Come on everyone! If they can do it so can we!
