You are completely out of every form of sugar in your house except molasses and marshmallows…

and you melt marshmallows in your coffee because you need it sweetened at least a little.

Yes, I have done this twice this morning… I am such a pathetic addict. 😛

What a fantastic idea!!! I would not have been able to come up with something like that on my own.

**LOL, thankfully I have never run out of sugar but I HAVE run out of coffee:eek::eek::eek:

The first time I called my mom and she brought me some of hers… the second time I sent hubby to the corner store for a brewed cup…

he walks out the door and say “I’m going to get your coffee now” (it’s a 2 minute walk)…well, and hour and a half later I have my coffee:rolleyes:. He decided to try out his new scraper and chip all of the packed down ice and snow off of the driveway BEFORE he got my coffee:mad:**

I have become such a hopeless addict in the past 6 months (never drank coffee before…) One day I forgot to have coffee and by 6pm I was on the couch in the fetal position with such a monster headache I couldn’t even blink my eyes nevermind move. Took me awhile to realize what had happened and hubby was out and I just wanted to die!!! Never forget your coffee!!!

At least you haven’t run out of coffee and are forced to use yesterday’s coffee grounds.

guilty as charged. I’ve also re-heated yesterday’s coffee in order to get my fix.

I now keep a can of ground coffee in the freezer for emergency situations when I run out of fresh beans for my morning joe.

So when ya gonna go to the store?
😦 When one of us finally gets paid! My DH’s National Guard pay seems to be stuck in the system somewhere. We should have had it by now. So I am in a holding pattern.

Oh NO! I hate when that happens. Thankfully, (Praise God) it hasn’t happened to us often, but when the military messes up pay it can take FOREVER to get it right.

HA! I come from a family of coffee lovers who love thier coffee REALLY strong. Once while at a family reunion my ex-BIL decided to make coffee and reused the grounds. Poor guy didnt know what hit him. Imagine 12 seriouse coffee drinkers waking up to brown water!!! You would of thought he killed a dog or somthing!!!

Have. never. done. this.
I haven’t either. If we’re out of coffee, I make do with the stuff in the office. It’s not bad- the office staff knows how to brew it strong enough. A couple mugs will stave off the headache.

I drink my coffee black so I don’t have to worry about cream or sugar shortages in the house. DH regularly forgets to tell me we’re out of his favorite flavored, sweetened creamers so he has to resort to milk and brown sugar.

I’ve done this, using less water than the day before, just to get my fanny up and out the door for more coffee.

But since I’ve built the pantry and stocked up, one of my biggest purchases when it’s on sale is COFFEE and canned milk

I once had my drill pay messed up for four months when I was in a reserve status. Somebody in the office signed me up for two different units. Well, I was reporting to the unit that didn’t have a ship, as I am female and at the time, females weren’t on combatants. A PN finally figured it out when the Dahlgren tried to discharge me for not showing up. It seems they had my first name as Larry.🤷

On the bright side, you were only out of sugar and not out of coffee.

:coffee: You know you’re desperate for coffee when you drink it black. Giving up my favorite coffee addititives is a form of penance.

…reading a post on CAF about coffee makes you want a cup of coffee, but you can’t find the french press that you tucked away somewhere because you were going to be so good and give up coffee for the New Year…so you have to settle for black tea instead and all you can think of is a good cup of coffee with cream.

Dangit.

This reminds me of a story our old pastor told us about the time he gave up coffee for Lent. Apparently he was so grouchy that some of his friends told him that if he truly wanted to please God he would never give up coffee for Lent again.

Yep, I think if I want to truly please God I should go back to having my one cup of coffee in the morning, with cream, please. There is nothing more sublime.

Now if I could just find that gosh-darned french press pot…

when you are drinking nothing but water and herbal tea because you are off caffeine on doctors orders while wearing a heart monitor and undergoing cardiac tests, and everybody at works knows you have not had your fix today (it is only the first day and this will take at least a week) and they are hoping you will go home early because they can’t stand your BIT----ING
