Yep…I believe that our Parish has the best Lifeteen program . I want all 3 of my teens involved and oh by the way I still love KISS when I happen to hear them. I also wanted to say that this is probably one of the only bands who made a pact to not drink or use drugs. Im not saying that everyone should listen to them but most of us did listen to Rock and Roll and still do and we are just fine. It does not take away from my relationship with God and does not make me a liberal.

Regarding the Lifeteen Website

Look at the graphic at the top of the website. There is a simplistic city block. On the block is a beautiful Cathedral. But the teens aren’t in the Cathedral. They are celebrating Mass on an athletic field, with a guitar and amplifiers providing musical accompinament.

To me, this says: leave the Traditions behind and go your own way. Wrong message.
May I ask why you are counting down the time until you move overseas?
Well, now it is two reasons:

a) no Lifeteen overseas

b) it means Seminary!!!1 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂

I love most life teen masses I attend. The music is beautiful, most often music I’ve heard from The Franciscan University of Steubenville conferences and such. Of course, each Life Teen is different, depending on the pastor and, but for the most part, any time a child is in our beloved church, learning about God, is a good thing. I would not compare Life Teen to say, MTV or anything, which is truly abhorrent. You need to realize that it is a place to begin, and that holiness is at least introduced and honored there. Better that than our teens attending similar functions at their liberal sex-loving local schools, eh? And finally, if you are so interested in them, and are so against them, I challenge you to come up with something better. If you have time to criticize, then you must also have time to improve what you dislike. Maybe it is God’s calling for you.

God bless,
