Thankyou for your counsel but in talking to my dad I realise I only need Jesus but others should be open to sharing the faith but I am sure they can not convince it

Can I ask your age?

Know that all the “rules” of Catholicism come from God, including not receiving the Eucharist unless you’ve been brought into the Church formally and are in a state of grace.

I am 34. I know the rules. You seem not to have to prove the truth but accept the tradition as true. If they know you say to others if you are not convinced you will change faith it seems they won’t let you have communion so they make you seem unreasonable towards family. They don’t give you the freedom to change faith if you only want to stay catholic if you are convinced. I can still go to be convinced but I think Jesus wants me to go to Him for assurance to be more effective and bless others not just catholics

Are catholics real catholics if they can not prove their faith ? Can you accept it because you think church fathers held that position and it was never in those early times proven wrong by other church fathers or no other church father in similar times was clearly against it ?
Can you accept it though you think it may not have been the biblical position ? It was not absolutely clear from the bible with no ability to interpret it otherwise no place makes it without question undeniably true

The bible says God is not willing for any to perish if one happens to live with just a few hours left I know we don’t know when we will die is it too late to repent when you know you are on your death bed and you have little time to live when exactly does it become too late to repent if you still have time but what repentance can he do if he seeks a priest to come and he can not come how can the priest tell him what he must do to repent. If the priest can not come does this mean one is not required to see a priest ? But what must he do ? Is there anything they can find what they must do I think it is too late to repent when it starts to pour I suppose if the judgement coming can not be reversed if you weren’t repenting before that ? But does that contradict the words let everything that has breath praise the Lord ? You technically still have breath

I believe today is the day of salvation and if you don’t plan to repent today to do the will of God you can die unexpected
But what if you don’t is it never too late but you have to be more serious because you may not have any oil

Is there a way to extend topic so it doesn’t close?

If you do not believe as we do, then you should not receive. The Eucharist, along with being the Body of Christ, is a symbol of common belief among receivers. You do not believe what we do, so your reception would be telling a lie.

Because no other faith is the guidance you need to get to Heaven. Allowing you to leave puts your soul in grave danger. We can’t stop you, but you will be told the consequences of your actions and it’s your job to do something with that.

We are not Sola Scriptura Christians. The Bible is not the sole source of Truth.

But can one choose the faith without being able to prove it is truly the only biblical position one can have or if he has no doubts. If one still believes it could be possible though he could doubt at some level ?
I suppose there is no incentive to tell others to join the faith if one could have some doubts. So are they not true catholics if they can doubt it when they can not prove it if others make them question their faith ?
Why do you care if others leave the faith if they never believed it anyway unless you want them to stay to learn to believe
