Please remember the father of one of my third grade students. His father died of H1N1 and the family has been devastated by this. “Patrick” was sent to live with his mother and is now in another school.

Please also pray for the family of another man, the father of a student in my son’s school, who died this week. Again, the family is reeling from this loss, and their young(est?) child is in first grade.

Two children, two families, two fathers. I cried all the way to school this morning…

Lord, we place these children and their families into your loving and strong hands. Be their comfort during this time of mourning. Send them Your own foster father St. Joseph to be the guardian of their families and the heads of their households. Let them draw ever closer to You in their grief.

Perpetual light shine upon them, O Lord.
May their souls
and the souls of all the faithful departed,
through the mercy of God, rest in peace.
Amen.

I pray that everyone of them find peace in their hearts for they must never forget, that their loved ones are in a better place.

Hail Mary, full of grace.
Our Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb,
Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God,
pray for us sinners,
now and at the hour of our death.

Our Father, Who art in heaven
Hallowed be Thy Name;
Thy kingdom come,
Thy will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us;
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil. Amen.

wow - thank you for reachhing out to the CAF family for prayers. I pray that as we join together, these families may find comfort and peace in God’s loving embrace.

Horrible and sad.

Zechariah 10: 8

I will call my people and gather them together.
I will rescue them and make them as numerous as they use to be.
Though I have scattered them among the nations,
yet in far-off places they will remember me.
They and their children will survive and return home together.

If Christ suffered death and was raised, we must in good faith, understand that we too can follow him and be together once more.

Eternal rest grant unto these souls O Lord
may perpetual light shine upon them
and may they rest in peace Amen

Mother Mary intercede for us for the greiving families
Remember, O most loving Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to your protection, implored your help, or sought your intercession was left unaided. Inspired with this confidence, we turn to you, O Virgins of virgins, our Mother. To you we come, before you we stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, do not despise our petitions, but in your mercy hear us and answer us. Amen.

Dear Lord,

How very sad, whenever a child loses a parent. I have been there as you know, losing my dad as a teenager, was so difficult. I pray Lord that these children are embraced by other family members, especially by those immediate family members of these dads. It is so difficult when one loses contact of the immediate families of parents. It hurts to feel ignored once the public grief is over. Please Lord, be with these children as they adjust to losing a parent. It is never the same for them, as other children, with both parents alive. The child will go through life with so many “I wonder what it would have been like if dad…” I ask your mercy and grace on these children. In the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen

Hold them close precious Holy Mother of God. Amen

I pray for the repose of their souls, for their children, and their families. Lord, grant them peace and understanding during this difficult time, and grace them abundantly that they may put their trust in You. St Joseph, patron of fathers, pray for them. Amen

PATER NOSTER, qui es in caelis, sanctificetur nomen tuum. Adveniat regnum tuum. Fiat voluntas tua, sicut in caelo et in terra. Panem nostrum quotidianum da nobis hodie, et dimitte nobis debita nostra sicut et nos dimittimus debitoribus nostris. Et ne nos inducas in tentationem, sed libera nos a malo. Amen.

Gracious God, please comfort the sorrowful. When a loved one dies, it changes our lives so quickly. Help those who are living in grief to know your loving embrace. Teach them that the dear ones they miss are truly living in the joy and peace of your heavenly kingdom. And as the pain eases and the healing begins, give them the strength to reach out to help those who follow them. We ask this in the name of Jesus. AMEN

For the families of both of these men …

Hail Mary
full of grace
the Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb,
Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now
and at the hour of our death.
Amen.

*Oh my gosh, this breaks my heart. 😦 Hits home for me, personally. I will keep these children in my prayers, may God ease their pain and give them comfort during this very difficult time. *

This is a beautiful prayer.

A Novena Prayer to the Sacred Heart of Jesus
Sacred Heart of Jesus, we know that there is but one thing impossible to You: to be without pity for those who are in suffering or distress. Look down on us, we beg of You and grant us the grace which we humbly and earnestly implore, through the Immaculate Heart of Your most sorrowful Mother to whom You confided us as her children, and whose prayers are all powerful with You. Amen.
