Hey Frank, a couple years ago I was going through a rough time where the friends I was spending time with weren’t following Christ and were consequently pulling me away from Him as well. I felt alone.
That summer I was going to a conference and wanted a fresh start, new godly friends who would build me up in Christ. I had fears about making friends, thinking that no one would like me or maybe I’d be an outcast among them. So I prayed, again and again for about a month, until the conference, that I would make a genuine, deep friendship with one person at this conference.
Praise be to God, over the 5 day conference I had made TWENTY beautiful, amazing new friends who I felt included with right away. It was more than I could have asked for or imagined, and since then I have continued to praise God for His goodness. To this day, I remain close friends with at least 10 of those people who raise my soul to God.
