I have not engaged in debate with Buddhists (don’t know any), but I recently read a book called A Song for Nagasaki, which is the story of Takashi Nagai, a survivor of the A-Bomb in Nagasaki. It describes many elements of Buddhism, which are integrated into the Japanese culture. Nagai was a convert to Catholicism. It’s a wonderful book!
