Are you saying the God of the Hebrews was not God?

No, the God of the Hebrews is the God of Christians who became man. He is eternal and ineffable but paradoxically He has become knowable in Christ. Christianity is the fulfillment of the Jewish faith, not something completely seperate. I am not sure how you got it from my post that the God of the Hebrews is not God.

There is one God and He revealed Himself to Abraham (a Hebrew man) and in Christ He mad Himself man.

I don’t know who Hillel is, but I guess I will find out now. Sounds like a philosopher?

I do believe that we must do rightly by all in our capacity to do so, and strive to help where we can and are able to.

Hillel is a Jewish rabbi. He’s famous for being peaceful. Many people believe Jesus took much of His teachings from him, but, Jesus is God; Hillel just imitated God, as all Jews are required to do, and prepared Israel for the teachings of Jesus, as all the sages did.

I will read about him, and I hope I can ask you all here about questions if I have any about what he says. I hope my library will have information of him, and if not there is a large Jewish community not far from me that I can try and contact for information on him. They are pretty active on helping people of all faiths or none, around here for various things. Like catholics.
