Your favorite Christian symbols, other than the Latin cross and the fish

I kinda like the Jerusalem cross.

I’m also fond of the Staurogram, mostly because I found some eBay listing a while back for somebody selling a Staurogram wall cross but they had listed it as a “Protestant Cross” because they thought the “P” meant “Protestant”.

What are some of yours?

🤣 That’s kind of funny.

I like the Sacred and Immaculate Hearts.

I like this variation of the Chi Rho

Chi Rho, Alpha & Omega, Immaculate & Sacred hearts

Another favourite is the Passion Flower.

Two, the Rabbula Cross (on the Patriarchs’ staff) and the budded 3-arm St. Maron’s Cross he is holding.

The pelican
The Ibis/crane (symbol of resurrection in ancient liturgical art)
The lit lamp (virginity)
The martyr’s palm

I wear a miraculous medal , but I am struggling to think what is my favourite Christian symbol .

Though two symbols of the Society of Jesus would be when I come to think of it …

Perhaps by symbol you don’t mean “image.” But I am much taken these days by the image of the Divine Mercy.

When I was very small, my dad went on business to Louisiana and brought back pelican stuff, so I have always associated it with the state, not with the Church.

I like images (especially stained glass) that feature a host above a chalice.
