I’m curious about other people’s favorite renditions of Christmas classics, or not-so-classics! Just post your favorites, whether they be by choir, solo artist, or all instrumental! Here are a couple of mine to get started:

O Come All Ye Faithful, Nat King Cole
Christmastime is Here, Vince Guaraldi Trio (Charlie Brown Christmas)

I have yet to hear a version of “Silver Bells” that didn’t set me to humming along! I particularly love Elvis’s version and Anne Murray’s version.

“O Holy Night”-- Josh Groban nailed it! Close second: John Berry

“Little Drummer Boy”–toss up between Bing Crosby and the Harry Simeone Chorale

“O Holy Night” is my very favorite Christmas song. It’s so emotional and spiritual, and I’m not even Christian! I think, however, this song sounds much better if sung by an opera singer. My favorite recording is by the great Swedish tenor of yesteryear, Jussi Bjorling. Pavarotti is not bad either.

I also like Judy Collins’ version of “Silver Bells.”
